'The last day of recordings…and my birthday.' Minho thinks as he wakes up. He checks his phone, expecting some messages from the members who are back home in Korea. His smile fades as he sees none. He makes his way to the lobby and sees the other Dream Team members eating breakfast. He joins them. "Today is the last day, so I expect you to do your best!" Changmin says. "But not before we sing a song for Minho's birthday!" Everyone starts singing and Minho smiles, but not a smile he would have been smiling if the SHINee members were here.
After a long day of recording Minho is tired, very tired. He nods off in the back of the van, jerking awake when his cell phone goes off. Happily he fishes the device from his pocket, flipping it open. "Congratulations on your 18th birthday son! I hope you have a lovely day. We miss you here. Mum and Dad." How happy he is with the message from his parents, he can't help but feel sad. He wonders if they did forget it is his birthday today. He looks out of the window, looking at the landscape going by. 'Well, at least my hyungs from Dream Team didn't forget my birthday.'
"Let's go to a restaurant! We must celebrate Minho's birthday properly!" Danny shouts from the backseat. "Hyung, it's alright. I just want to sleep…" Minho ignores the protests from the others, telling him he should be happy, "It's not everyday you become an adult!". Eventually they agree on going back to the hotel and eating something there, but Minho makes his way to his room as they arrive at the hotel. "I'm not hungry. Just want to sleep." And he disappears down the corridor.
He opens the door to the room, everything is dark. He reaches for the light switch but he gets yanked into the room and panic gets to him. He calms down however when he notices a familiar figure. "Taemin? Is that you?" The lights flicker on, and he sees Taemin standing there with a grin on his face. Minho's flabbergasted. "How? When? Why?"
He turns around when a hand lands on his shoulder, and he sees Key, Jonghyun and Onew standing there. "We're here to celebrate your birthday!" "Happy birthday hyung!" Taemin skips over to him holding a large present, carefully wrapped with a long silky ribbon. "Happy Birthday Minho!" The older three chant, and they begin singing. Taemin throwing confetti all over the room, while the other three finish their song with an awkward and silly dance. Minho laughs at them, really he thinks at least he is more mature than that. Taemin can be immature, he's the magnae.
"Open your present hyung!" Taemin beams at him, giving him no other choice but to follow the order. He unties the ribbon and lifts up the lid from the box. He holds up a photo album with all their pictures taken together, every picture with a caption from when and where the picture is. He also gets a new hoodie with him in cartoon form on it. The tears gather at the corner of his eyes. "Thank you for not forgetting my birthday guys."
"How could we forget! Come here! Group hug!" Jonghyun holds his arms out wide and Minho smiles while being enveloped in a bear hug from the much shorter guy. The others quickly join them. "Minho, sarangheyo!" Taemin says cutely while Key ruffles his hair and Onew even goes as far as pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. "I love you too. I'm glad you're here for my birthday." "That's because we love you! We couldn't let you be alone on this special day."
Onew lights the candles on the cake Key made, but you could see Jonghyun and Taemin decorated it, turning it in a true piece of art. Minho happily blows out the candles, Key making photo's for the album, and the other happily clapping. They play games till morning, being all groggy when they gather their stuff to fly their way back to Korea. Minho watches the others from his seat and is glad he has such nice hyungs and a cute dongsaeng.
