“Yongguk-ah…” Himchan sighed and rubbed his temples. His boyfriend, best friend, partner, whatever he may be to Himchan, just didn’t understand the problem here at all. After a few tries at convincing Yongguk to come with him, (promises of showers and nights in the same bed together usually did the trick,) they finally made it to the nearest do-it-yourself store. Currently, they stood in the aisle with all the different kinds of wallpaper, looking at the samples, discussing which one to pick.
“What?” Yongguk looked back over his shoulder and furrowed his brows. Himchan pouted his lips in response and adjusted the glasses on his nose.
“That one feels like sandpaper. I’m not getting one that feels like freaking sandpaper.” Himchan exhaled noisily, the urge to rub his temples again resurfacing. “The color isn’t even that good.”
“I like it,” Yongguk shrugged, rubbing his fore finger against one of the sample pieces. “but if you don’t, we can always pick another one, like this one here.”
“Yongguk, no.” He eyed the brownish wallpaper with a frown on his face. No way was he going to be looking at that color every moment when they were at the dorm. If Himchan knew what kind of troubles he would be going through, he would’ve gone by himself and just picked whatever he liked. He sighed again.
“Let’s go with something that feels a bit softer, like this one.” Himchan handed Yongguk a sample piece of wallpaper and Yongguk snorted.
“It has freaking flowers on it, Himchan. We’re not redecorating your room at home, but the dorm. I don’t think any of the other members are going to be pleased when the walls turned into flower fields over day.” This time it was Himchan’s turn to snort.
“I only told you to feel it, not assume this was the one I wanted.” Himchan gestured to the piece of paper in Yongguk’s hand. “So? How does it feel?”
“Soft.” Was the short answer. Finally.
“I still don’t know why it has to be soft though.” Yongguk said, looking at Himchan for an answer, but the other avoided the questioning gaze. Himchan busied himself with searching for other soft wallpapers, narrowing down their final choice.
“Himchan.” Himchan could hear Yongguk’s slow steps closing their distance, but he stubbornly kept his gaze at the papers, rubbing his fingers on them to make sure he had the softest in his hands.
“Himchan, tell me.” His tongue poked out to wet his upper lip, before his front teeth slowly sank into his bottom lip. He should’ve known he couldn’t avoid this question much longer, but he refused to say anything with other people close by. He glanced at the middle aged couple in the same aisle as them, wishing they would move away, before he caved in to Yongguk’s deep voice whispering the question again in his ear.
“Why does it have to be soft, Himchan?”
God, that voice. Why did it drop even lower when it was nothing but a murmur against the shell of his ear?
It was exactly that voice that turned him on most of the time and Himchan felt the skin on his lower back prickle in slight arousal. He tried to stop Yongguk, opening his mouth, but instead of “Yongguk, not here”, a sound akin to something like a mewl escaped and Himchan clamped his mouth shut to avoid further humiliation. Of course he couldn’t save himself from Yongguk anymore (just his luck), but he was glad the only other couple in the aisle left a minute or so before.
“Oh god. Himchan, really? Like, really?” The laughter in Yongguk’s voice sounded distant to his ears, but the arms wrapped tightly around him and the shaking figure of the man holding him, were so much closer. Himchan buried his face in his own hands, pushing the sample papers against his cheek in the process.
“Don’t laugh.” It sounded all but convincing, but it made Himchan feel better when Yongguk’s shoulders stopped shaking with laughter.
“I’ll try.” The wide smile remained on Yongguk’s face. “What samples do you got there?” He peeled Himchan’s hands back and took the papers from him, rubbing his thumb over them and nodding his head at some colors and designs, giving Himchan the time to collect himself a bit.
“Do you think we should keep the relief flat?” Yongguk asked, his tone serious. “I think it would keep the wallpaper softer, if that’s what you want.” Himchan nodded a bit, taking the samples Yongguk deemed okay enough to put up on the walls of the dorm. Himchan separated them in the colors he liked, and the colors he disliked, clicking his tongue at the fact Yongguk actually managed to wrestle that ugly brown sample from before in between the others, while Himchan wasn’t paying attention.
“It’s safe to say this one certainly doesn’t make it into the final batch.” Himchan remarked, all but shoving the paper back under Yongguk’s nose. “Get rid of it.” Yongguk reluctantly placed it back in its original holder, instantly bored again, so he wrapped his arms around Himchan’s waist.
“Yongguk, please let me do this in peace.” Himchan said while shifting through the samples. The arms remained around his waist and a head joined the touches on his body by resting on his right shoulder. Not that Himchan really minded, he was way too busy with the cards in his hands. He had a hard time deciding on the light blue one, it was almost white and oh so soft, or the white one, which seemed boring but in Himchan’s opinion felt even softer than the blue one.
“Feel these two, Guk-ah.” The head on his shoulder moved until he felt Yongguk’s chin dig a bit uncomfortably into the crook of his neck.
“I rather feel something else.” Yongguk mumbled, but took the samples from Himchan’s hand. “The blue one is softer and looks nicer.” He said after a good few minutes scrutinizing the papers. The corners of Himchan’s mouth tugged into a smile.
“Thank you.” After looking around to see if the coast was clear, Himchan quickly pecked Yongguk’s cheek. He felt Yongguk tense a bit, but he relaxed against him again a second later.
“We need about ten rolls.” Prying the hands off his waist, Himchan took the first one of the ten to put in the shopping cart. He scrunched his nose when Yongguk just stood there watching him.
“Gukkie, help me, it’s heavy.” He tried to act cute, but Yongguk just stuck his tongue out.
“I like watching you, plus you still haven’t answered my question.”
“Will you help me if I tell you?” Himchan put the roll down and leaned on it, glancing at Yongguk, who shrugged with a “yeah, sure.” Yongguk kept his eyes on Himchan’s face as the male walked up to him, the beginning of a smirk playing on his lips.
When Himchan didn’t stop a normal distance away, but wound his arms around Yongguk’s neck and pulled them flush together, Yongguk felt he wouldn’t make it out of the store in a normal matter. He held his breath when Himchan’s face came closer, mouth aiming for his left ear.
“It will feel so much nicer when I get fucked into the wall.”
Himchan smirked as Yongguk groaned low in his throat.
