Well I installed some new light bulbs for my mom, two in the living room and two in her study/computer room. She bought an 8 pack of screw in fluorescent light bulbs that are equal to the light output of a standard 60 watt bulb but only take 13 watts and have an output of 825 lumens, pretty good. I've always liked fluorescent lights, I just find them to be 'nicer', easily to read in and generally don't make a room feel as hot.
