Wow, I just... I just don't even know what to say right now. I guess I'll try to explain the best I can. There's this guy, and his name is David. We went out for almost a year, but had to break up because things weren't working out so well. Mainly we just had a lot of differences, and he was trying to work out his sexuality. This . . . wow, this is hard to comment on. I haven't ever had the experience of having a house burn down in my loifetime, whether mine or my friend's, so . . . I can say I am truly sorry; to lose something that quickly must be devastating.

Your memories aren't gone, though. Yes, the physical evidence, the proof that those events took place, is gone. But the memories are in your heart. They are locked within your soul, a slide reel for you to view whenever you want to take a glimpse. The magic of those memories will be with you forever, whether the corsage is fragrant or burnt, or the necklace beautiful or twisted. Not all is lost, for the most precious things in life are the things that we cannot physically hold on to.
