i think that the things people do when they're drunk are thoughts that they entertain while sober but would probably not do unless a) they were sufficiently drunk or b) they gave off the impression of being drunk so that they have an excuse to do it. i don't think drinking makes anyone do anything against their will, i just think it removes inhibitions and gives people an excuse for what they do. i think sometimes it just goes to an extreme.

Do people actually believe this? i don't, because if that is true, then i am truly stupid.

Do you think what someone does when drunk is what they want to do when sober but don't have the courage to? sometimes, but people who are drunk have poor judgement, so it's hard to say.

Or do you think drinking opens up people to doing things they don't really want to, but seem like a good idea/entertaining at the time? i think so, sometimes.

I think it is a little bit of both and you hahve to weigh it against what you already know about the person.

I think that, generally speaking, people who are drunk don't think about the results of their actions. They don't think about what they do and what might happed 3 weeks down the road as a result of their actions. They act on impulse, and sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad. If you kept the impule, would they still do it?
I try not to believe anything people say when they're drunk, especially if they don't keep up with what they say when they're sober.
