If Aoi had been a soldier, he’d actually offer himself up to be in the front line simply because it excited him. Treading between life and death was a concept exhilarating to him, and although being a performer and a musician did not equal being a combatant, it was pretty much the same battle. The audience was their enemy, and his job was to take them down with his weapon, the guitar. Life was to drain the audience’s energy with music, and death was to bore them out of their wits or something along those lines. If that was the case, then Aoi as well as his four other band mates are very competent soldiers. That didn’t only apply in their lives of course, especially not Aoi; he applied it to almost every aspect of his being.
That said, Aoi also wasn’t scared of anything that life throws at him. Occasionally he’d step back a little but would eventually lunge head first, and screw whatever it is that gets in his way. Though this kind of mentality wasn’t the most effective, even he has to admit, it was his way of life. When life gives you lemons, make a damn lemonade stand and get filthy rich.
So upon discovering this huge crush that he had on his fellow guitarist, the first logical thing for him to do was to get his ass up and ask him out for a dinner or something. Just a nice ‘friendly’ dinner out, of course, as everything had to start somewhere.
What he couldn’t understand was why he can’t, for the life of him, get his feet to move, and instead just gawk there as Uruha started to make his way towards the door, but first stopping in his tracks to turn back at the elder guitarist. It was evident on the look on Uruha’s face how much he was weirded out with Aoi just sitting there, looking at him with his face all flushed like that.
The raise of the other man’s brow brought Aoi back from his stupid trance, and offered a bashful smile. There’s a dire need for a change in his plan of attack.
