lol though, i think it's because i'm still sleepy/tired/generally feeling blah, but i misread the last sentence as "...Ruki let himself goo." and actually thought wait what.

OMFG you need to get some sleep woman. I was almost at the verge of tears while I was writing it and listening to a song entitled 'Tsumetai Ame' over and over again wasn't helping in that AND YOU CHANGED MY VIEW OF MY OWN FIC AGAIN. Srsly. How do you do that. *dies*

This was beautiful. I loved the first sentence, even more because you left it there alone, by itself and it was just something about the way it sounded. Rain in May lifting up (it also reminded me of a movie with Audrey Hepburn, My Fair Lady where she repeats the line "The Rain in Spain..."), then kind of coming down with was unusual. And that's me picking apart a single sentence in your story.

Great Ruki characterization, expressing his emotions in lyrics, but when it is really necessary to express them being unable to do so. Well, maybe not unable but certainly not expressing them in a way other people would understand. I liked the ending. I expected part of it, rain starting again in the end.

I was actually wary if I should use it, because I'm not sure if it rained in Japan during May. Then again, global warming fucked the environment, so meh. :/
