Card Modification:
Card modification:
Quez has the ability to transform wounded monsters of low intelligence into cards, and then to refine those cards into items. Those items could then either be further refined by other GF’s, or made into spells.
For instance; a monster transforms into a card, that card into an item, ten of those items into a stronger item, and one hundred of those second gen items into a yet stronger item, then that third gen item into an ultimate level spell.
But it starts with Quez and a monster. The spell that transforms the monster into a card is not powerful so the monster must be weakened first so the spell can set, and the monster has to be semi-sentient. A sentient creature like a person can not be transformed.
The GF cards and people cards that appear are painted by specific artists and imbue the cards they create with magic (a unique talent) that allows the cards to then be modified.
Playing Triple Triad is a common recreational activity, and the rules vary from region to region, along with the spread of these rules come more players. The items that the cards can be modified into are sometimes very rare and the refiner must weigh the worth of the individual card in future games against the need for the refined item. Cards can not be bought or sold commonly, only traded, transformed, won or lost, with the exception of high level personal cards.
The strength of the card is called its level and no card beyond level seven can be transformed. The higher the level, the stronger the monster the card came from. This is the same in some respects for the GF Cards and the Face cards, the strength and level of the card relating to the power level of the person/creature in question.
