Characters : Willow and Tara
Location : Tara's Hotel Room
Description : Willow and Tara Talk
Willow: After waking up from her prolongued nap, Willow found that Xander had stepped out of the apartment for a bit. Glancing at his computer screen, she caught a gist of why. She'd have to find him later...
In the meantime, Willow went out herself, still feeling a bit worn down, but well enough. She headed straight for the hotel and knocked timidly at Tara's door.
Tara: *hears a soft knock and gets up from the bed and goes to the door. opens it wide and sees..* Willow!
Willow: Willow offered a weak grin, raising her brows slightly. "...yeah..." she gave a little wave. "...hi...sorry about the lack of dinnerness...was busy with Buffy things...and making things more complicated...which I seem to be excelling in as of late..." Willow explained sullenly as she stepped in. "There's a lot of bad going on and Buffy's in trouble..."
Tara: *closes and locks the door behind you* Have a seat and don't worry about the dinner thing we can do that another time
Willow: "Yeah...we will...I promise..." Willow nodded, taking Tara's advice and sitting. It felt good to be off her feet again. "Okay...straight to the point...Buffy's going through a bit of a...no soul phase...We're low on the Slayer factor right now...Buffy's soulless, Kennedy left with Oz for California...and most of the others went home. I think Vi came back...but I haven't seen her...and that's just one new slayer...and let's not even get started on Faith...." she took a moment to breathe. "So yeah...no slayers and two big bad vampires out there playing with a Slayer's soul..." Willow grimaced.
Tara: Goddess Willow are you ok? *notices her grimace* so you've got one new Slayer and *breathes in slightly* one half demon with super strength to fight two bad guys
Willow: "Half demon?" Willow blinked. Her mind was in a million places. "You mean Buffy? I haven't gotten to see her yet...so I don't know if she'd going to be making with the Slayage..." Willow tensed a bit. "There's more...though...Drusilla and the Knight can show up at any time of the day...we can't even just keep watch at night...we've gotta keep watch all day two..." The guilt in Willow's expression was apparent.
Tara: *sits next to Willow and tenatively puts a comforting arm around her* During the day? what happ... never mind. and no Will I didn't mean Buffy
Willow: "Errr...I happened..." Willow winced. "...in exchange for breaking the thrall he had on Kennedy...."
Tara: *looks at Willow worried* Willow are you hurt?
Willow: Willow shook her head. "Not hurt...just drained...it's not an easy thing, making vampires walk in sunlight, ya know..." she said, in an attempt at taking it lightheartedly.
Tara: *nods in understanding* spells that large do take a lot of power
Willow: "I know..." Willow nodded. "But....no time to be worn out....with no Slayer we need a line of defense...and military guy disappeared while I was making with the beauty sleep..."
Tara: I'll help you could use me
Willow: Willow gave her a small smile, reaching over and resting her hand on Tara's cheek. "Yeah, I know....but we'll need the others too...these aren't just any vampires...this Knight is like Angelus times...a hundred or something...I'm just waiting for dead flowers and puppies to show up on the doorstep..." she frowned. "He's killed 4 Slayers already in the past...though I can't figure out how Kennedy managed to not get herself killed...and I'm willing to bet that the game they're playing with Buffy was Drusilla's idea..."
Tara: *closes her eyes and inhales deeply when you touch my face.* I know we need the others Willow but I want to fight too I care about Buffy
Willow: "I know...and you can...you will...I mean, you and me...we make a good team." Willow smiled more genuinely.
Tara: *smiles at Willow the frowns slightly* but I have to tell you something but I'm not sure if now is a good time
Willow: Willow looked visibly upset. "They...they aren't making you go back, are they? Because...that's just...that wouldn't be fair..."
Tara: *puts a hand on Willows cheek* sh sh no Willow no they aren't making me go back
Willow: Willow closed her gaping mouth, the frown still on her face. "Well..what is it? You know you can talk to me, right? I mean...I know that we aren't the same people we were over a year a go...but...I'm still me...and you're still you..."
Tara: for the most part *nods* for themost part I'm still me *wonders if Willow was even paying attention when she mentioned a half demon*
Willow: Willow furrowed her brow slightly. "Yeah...for the most part...I guess you've changed a bit more than I have..."
Tara: more than you know *sighs* I'm part Demon Will
Willow: Willow opened her mouth, but quickly closed it again when she realized that 'what part?' was a really stupid question. "Uh...is this a new thing...or just one of those...never got around to telling you things?" Willow asked, feeling confused.
Tara: new since I was brought back but it's ok I'm not evil
Willow: "Oh..." Willow pondered this for a moment. "Well, uh...what kind of demon? Err...if you don't mind me asking..."
Tara: Cawdr am daear. It means 'keeper of earth.
Willow: Willow nodded, not really sure of what to say. "What does a keeper of earth demon do...exactly?"
Tara: Cawdr am daear are a peaceful species of demon. In fact, they're only classified as demons because they can't be classified as humans. They look human and are often mistaken for Wiccans because of their power. They can harness and manipulate the earth's energies. In their most basic forms, all creatures and objects come from the earth. I could manipulate anything from a table to a bird to a person
Willow: "Woah...that's a lot of power..." Willow noted. She offered half a smile. "...but then...you're good at handling the power thing..." She fidgeted a bit.
Tara: *looks at Willows face trying to tell how she's reacting* Willow are you ok?
Willow: "About the you being part kinda demon thing? Yeah..." Willow reassured her. "After all, it doesn't really change who you are...well it does...but it doesn't..." She dropped her hands down into her lap. "It's really just the other things...ya know? And everybody's either hidden themselves away somewhere, disappeared or took off..."
Tara: *slowly lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding* I haven't gone anywhere and I'm not going to I'm going to stay by your side
Willow: Willow smiled slightly. "Thanks for that..." She looked up at Tara. "We should probably get ahold of Giles...and I need to talk to Buffy...though I'm not sure that explaining things to her will help at all..."
Tara: *nods* just know I'm here for you always ok? *looks into WIllows eyes* no matter what I am always here
Willow: Nodding, Willow smiled slightly. "I know you are. I just wish I had a better idea of what to do than talking to Giles and hoping that soulless Buffy has at least a quarter of the common sense that normal Buffy has..." she sighed. "Hellmouths suck...hardly a few months here and the whole world's already all topsy turvy..."
Tara: *sighs* I wish I could think of something else too. What esle do you expect from a Hellmouth then for all hell to break loose
Willow: "But then...having only lived on Hellmouths my whole life, I really have nothing to compare it to..." Willow said lightly. She reached over, resting her hand on Tara's. "And we can fix this...I mean...compared to impending apocalypses...apocalypsi?...Vampires that can come out during the day and Slayers without souls are childs' play..." she raised an uncertain eyebrow. "...right?"
Tara: *clasps your hand in mine* Right Willow. and when you've got two powerful witches to restore the soul of the slayer and then once that's done two slayers and a demon/witch and another witch to destroy the vampires it's a cake walk
Willow: "The Scoobie Gang just keeps getting more and more diverse..." Willow said with a small smile. "You're right...we can do this..."
