Summary: Ryoji, Akihiko, and Shinjiro all share Minato's apartment-they apparently share his twin sister, as well.

“Merry Christmas to us, guys!” Ryoji announced cheerfully, lifting up an empty champagne flute to emphasize his statement as some sort of toast.

The “guys” sitting around the round wooden table that was crammed in the apartment’s small kitchen attachment all looked in a rather non-celebratory mood-not to say they were mad, just not…festive. Christmas Eve was usually a night for one to spend time with their girlfriend, and here they all were in one big guy-fest while freeloading off of Minato’s living space-each for their own reasons.

Minato was surprised to have so many acquaintances come knocking on his door promising it was “only until I get a job, I swear.” Except for Shinjiro, who had been totally straight up from the get-go: “…Fuck it, I’m just followin’ Aki.”

Minato sighed as he brought a bottle of cheap wine over to the table-why couldn’t any girls he knew come and ask for a place to stay? Oh yes, because they weren’t deadbeats, and were all very successful, independent, employed women.

“Cheer up, guys!” Ryoji tried to bring in the “spirit” of the season while he held out his glass to be filled.

“Just because nobody’s got a girlfriend to spend the night with doesn’t mean we can’t have our own fun,” he continued.

“Speak for yourself,” Minato stated while popping open the cork, “I turned down girls to take care of you losers.”

“Oh yeah…you’ve got like…how many, again? You oughta be ashamed of yourself, man.” Akihiko scolded, pushing his own champagne flute in Minato’s direction.

“Well, I do have a favorite…” Minato muttered under his breath as began pouring the red liquid into everyone’s glasses.

“I don’t know, Akihiko-I can kind of respect it…” Ryoji threw his hand out to give a further emphasis to his upcoming flowery speech, “I could have a ton of girls, too, y’know-but no, I only chose one special girl to give my heart, body, and soul to…”

“-Hey, now that’s funny, because I’m exactly the same way,” Akihiko interrupted, seizing the opportunity to discuss something he had been wanting to for quite a while now, “In fact, I think you’ve met my girl, Ryoji…I’ve seen you hanging around her an awful lot…”

Shinjiro grabbed the bottle from Minato-he had already filled up everyone’s flutes, anyway-and began drinking straight from it, keeping out of the conversation. He hadn’t the heart to tell either of the boys that “their” girl was, in actuality, his. He and Minako had already taken their relationship to the upmost level, and she was obviously just playing nice for her fanboys because she really wasn’t a mean or aggressive person-in bed now, that was different… Ha-ha, if these suckers only knew…

“I ordered sushi for us about an hour ago at the local place-I’m going to go pick it up.” Minato informed them as he grabbed his coat to leave.

“Try not to break anything like last time,” he added before shutting the door behind him.

Shortly after he left, the doorbell rang.

“He forget his key or somethin’?” Akihiko wondered, getting up to open the door.

He opened it, only to be greeted by a glomping from an adorably “Mrs. Claus”-clad Minako.

“Merry Christmas, senpai~!” she squealed with glee.

Ryoji and Shinjiro stood up simultaneously.

“H-Hey there, Minako! You look, uh, really cute!” Akihiko replied while blushing and standing back to take a good look at her-something about that red miniskirt was unbelievably sexy to him.

Ryoji was getting himself an eyeful, too-something about that scarf was unbelievably sexy to him.

Shinjiro simply glared at the two dimwits stealing looks of his girl.

Then the three of them noticed that she held a cutely wrapped present in her hands with little hearts drawn all over the wrapping paper…

That’s totally mine. They all three thought at the same time.

“Oh, Minako, my dearest…as radiant as always! Could it be that you have trod through the awful snow just to make my cold, lonely heart warm with your lovely glow on this Christmas Eve?” Ryoji proclaimed with exaggeration, taking Minako’s hand and gently kissing it.

Akihiko’s eyebrow twitched. He felt a sudden jealous urge that made him feel a little bolder than usual-he wasn’t going to let this guy win.

“S-So, Minako…how goes? You know what, never mind that…talk is cheap. We should do it like always-let our bodies do the talking, y’know?” He leaned against the doorway and over Minako as casually as possible.

Both Akihiko and Ryoji were abruptly moved-no, shoved out of the way when Shinjiro suddenly threw his arms around Minako and pulled her in for a tight embrace.

“Hey, baby. I haven’t seen you in a while.” He said, smiling devilishly while Ryoji and Akihiko stared with mouths agape.

“Wow, aren’t you guys friendly tonight?” Minako giggled, “Must be the holiday spirit, hm?”

Minako walked past them and glanced around the apartment…

“Though you guys aren’t much for decorations... Hey, where’s-”

“-Oww!”

Minako’s inquiry was interrupted by the sudden sound of someone slipping-most likely on the ice-outside and making his pain known.

“Oniichan!!” Minako yelled with urgency as she rushed outside to attend to her fallen brother.

“I’m fine, Minako-I just hope I can say the same for the sushi…” Minato muttered while lying on the ground. Minako completely ignored his statements and kneeled over to kiss him on the forehead.

“Are you sure?” Minako pressed, supporting him by his arm as he began to stand up. “I can play nurse for you if you’re hurt…I’ll dress up and everything too, if you want.”

The three guys watching were currently flabbergasted by “their” girl’s actions.

“Oh, yeah, oniichan!” Minako exclaimed with excitement as if she’d remembered something. “I came all the way over to give you this!” She handed the custom-wrapped, highly-desired gift to Minato with a smile.

“Merry Christmas~!”

Now the three guys had killing glares in Minato’s direction.

“That’s sweet of you.” Minato smiled, accepting the gift. “Thanks.”

Minako beamed back at him before reaching to pick up the large box of sushi that he had dropped on the ground-luckily, the box hadn’t been damaged, so everything was most likely still edible.

“Oh, and oniichannn…” she suddenly said with a pout on her lips, “…you haven’t stayed at my place in a while, and I miss you...”

“Sorry,” Minato apologized with a soft smile before tousling her hair gently and accepting the sushi box from her, “I’ve been taking care of these guys, you know.”

“Well come stay with me next weekend, then. We can bring in the New Year in our own ~special~ way, ‘k?” Minako practically ordered more than asked before leaning in to give him a kiss on the cheek goodbye.

“I’ll see you later, oniichan! Have a great Christmas!!” She bid farewell merrily before running off, full of holiday spirit.

Minato waved goodbye before stepping inside and shutting the door. He turned around to greet the other guys with his sushi box in hand.

“She’s my favorite.” Minato explained with a grin, jerking his thumb back at the closed door.

“…”

“Kill him.”
