without the military we wouldn't be what we are today;
you wouldn't be going to purchase; i wouldn't have a nice car; are only struggle for the day would not be to pick out what to wear or what music to listen to;
i love you kelsey; and i know that we shouldn't be fighting this war; but they should broadcast those commercials cause at this point in time we have to deal with fuck-head bush and his whining thoughts; but he will not let us lose and or give in against the terrorists/insurgents.
there is no way in hell he will not pull out until he thinks is just; unless he is impeached.
and for the person 2 comments above me; read my first statement.
'there is no way in hell he will not pull out until he thinks is just' Besides the point that Bush can't think, the U.S. would have difficulty pulling out at this point since we (hmm we) are so engaged in Middle Eastern Affairs. If we do pull out early, it will be because we are going to war with North Korea creating probably a third World War.
the military has not brought us to where we are today. economic prosperity that has more to due with an industrial boom in 1800s that put us ahead of the game than military strentgh gives us our wealth as a nation
( ... )
im not trying to glorify war in all its power; all im saying is that they need to make those commercials. its the same thing as anyother buisness out there; and know that their buisness sucks. but its one of those things; i forgot how you say it. negative-necessity? or something like that.
Actually the U.S. almost sparked that war by encouraging Taiwan to test Missles over China. When China told Taiwan to stop and they refused knowing that the U.S. was backing them. The U.S. was forced to back down in fear of economic decline from ending trade with China.
War is not the only way an economy can become prosperous. The Industrial Revolution created an economic boom and starting in the early to mid 1800's. The Civil War was in 1860's.
National debt has recently been seen as a way to keep the economy somewhat stable although nobody is sure of the impact it will have in the future.
P.S. Fujian on the map in the link is the province I live in.
