it still amazes me that sidewalks exist in LA. i wonder what the point is when so many drivers consider pedestrians one step above the bubonic plague. if they consider them at all.

hope you're out of your cast soon. then you can pretend to hobble around and when they try to hit you, hit their car with your cane. that'll get their attention.

i know you can get them at medical supply companies for about $20, but they're ugly, and you don't seem like someone who would compromise on style issues. try a thrift store like goodwill, maybe? or a pawn shop - i'm always amazed at what i find in those places. it would help if you're going to be in it for another 3 months, yikes.
