Late winter brought with it some of the coldest days of the year for Neo Domino City. Thick waves of snow fell from the bleak sky, covering the streets in white. Almost all businesses had closed for the day, and a weather advisory had been issued by Security, leaving the streets nearly empty of life.

Both Crow and Yusei had decided to close up shop for the day (Who would need such services in this weather? they had reasoned), and the cold had spurred them to spend their time in the tiny living room instead of the garage as they normally would. The building had poor heating, so the only decent source of warmth was a tiny space heater and a few blankets. The two sat side by side, huddled beneath the blankets.

"...Where did Jack go?" Yusei asked suddenly, looking up from his book. He hadn't seen the blond all day, and he was starting to worry; Jack would usually use days like this as an excuse to do nothing and snuggle Yusei all day.

"Hell if I know. He probably went out for coffee or something stupid like that." Crow answered, following up with mumblings about bums who waste money. "He'll come back later when he realizes everything is closed."

It seemed Yusei's worrys were indeed in vain, because just as his companion said that, there came a loud bang downstairs as the front door opened, followed by the sound of footsteps clumping up the stairs. "Speak of the devil..." Crow yawned.

Jack stormed into the room in his usual fashion, his coat and boots soaked from the moisture outside. "Everything's closed!" he exclaimed unhappily. "Couldn't get a damn cup of coffee anywhere..."

"Then make some, dumbass. There's instant in the cupboard for a reason, you know." Crow said, going back to his magazine.

"Feh, it's not the same..." the blond mumbled.

Finally, Yusei took pity on the poor guy and gestured him over to the heater. "Come sit with us. You look cold."

Jack raised an eyebrow and meandered over, shedding his outdoor clothing, and plopped down next to Yusei on the side opposite Crow. Yusei took a part of the thin blanket draped around him and wrapped it around Jack's shoulders. He laid his head down on the tallers' shoulder and returned to his book.
