i recently learned that my body no longer likes it if i eat late. like, later than 8:30. i can't sleep, which makes me grouchy, which makes me grouchier the next day. i dont like to be around me when i'm like that, so i doubt that anyone else does, either ( Read more... )

For years and years I went without eating breakfast. Then a couple years ago, I would have dinner around 6ish and I would be hungry again at 10ish and I would not go to sleep until 3 or 4. I still go to bed late but since I started eating even just a piece of toast or an apple an hour after I get up, I don't feel like I need a meal again at 10ish. Sometimes I put granola in my bag and I eat it waiting for the bus. I try to stash food in places to help me remember to eat something. I read an article in the Chronicle a few months again about high school students who eat breakfast and those that don't. Even the kids that ate a candy bar for breakfast had better concentration that those who didn't eat anything. I don't mean to harp about this but it scares me that sometimes you go without eating until dinner. We could make granola together or some other breakfast/snack food?

i *have* been going out of my way to eat breakfast, its just that i eat dinner so late that it doesn't feel good to eat breakfat. but i have been eating it more lately. that being said, making granola would be super fun because it would be
a) fun
b) good to have around

i have a bag in my work closet because i had yogurt here to eat for breakfast on saturday mornings, buti think the yogurt possibly turned into cheese.

I'm so happy to hear this! There are so many kinds of granola we could make. When do you want to go to Rainbow?
