Hey Nicole lovely!

You can use www.pipl.com to find out where people are listed on the white pages, and if they have a public profile on-line....like a myspace or facebook! Maybe that will help locate some of your students!

What I meant by the myspace comment mostly is that that wouldn't do us much good. I'd say 85% of our kids don't have internet at home and generally only have access to them at school. The kids I'm looking for are also currently 5th and 6th graders and it would be way to weird to try finding little kinds on myspace and adding them. I just was trying to compare how bands can do that pretty easily, and just hunt down anyone with "Paramore" as an interest and add them. But with the technology involved I don't think that's going to work for these purposes. Not to mention I'm sure none of our current kids are even listed in the white pages since so many move around so much a scary number of them don't even know their street address is, just the intersection. wtf?

current student incentive would be awesome. see if you can get any local businesses that the students frequent to donate gift certs/cards, clothes etc. or if the school has a cafeteria, perhaps a certain amount of money to be spent there. each kid gets a ticket for each student they recruit, and the top 3 recruiters get an other prize.
offering some sort of incentive to prospective students. like, if they come in for a school tour/open house or something, their name goes into a draw for something. and if they register, they get an other ticket.

good luck!
