This is a list of all the Asian dramas I've seen, currently watching or I want to see.
This list will mostly be used as a self reference so I can remember what I've seen and what I want to watch. It would also be cool if anyone wants to give me any recommendations or your own thoughts on a drama ^^

1 Pound Gospel
☆☆☆☆☆
I loved this. It was really funny and Kame's completely different and fantastic in it. It's based off a manga which involves a gluttenous boxer and a nun. An odd plot but it works really well.
Akihabara @DEEP
☆☆☆
This was watched for Toma. It's odd. It tells the story of a bunch of otaku misfits who set up a troubleshooting company. It's not one of the best but still enjoyable. There are a lot of funny moments in it.
Anego
☆☆☆
Watched for Jin. It tells the story of a 30yr old single woman who wants to find love. It's an okay drama. Definitely watchable but nothing that you will come away from thinking 'wow'.
Dandoori Dance Drill
☆☆☆
This tells the story of a group of girls who finds their motivation in life through cheerleading and thus touch the lives on the people around them.
Gokusen 1 and 2
☆☆
This is about a Yakuza heir becoming a teacher and gets put in charge of a class of delinquents. She tries to manage her teaching without letting her identity be exposed. In the second series the story is practically the same but another school and another class. It has a good cast including Matsumoto Jun and Oguri Shun in the first series and Jin and Kame in the second seires. To be honest, I think it's very overrated. It's very repetitve. It's a good idea but nothing involving and I think it could have been done a lot better. The second series was practically the same as the first one and so I didn't enjoy it as much despite it having Jin and Kame in it. I would never recommend this but it's one that is always seems to be considered as one that you have to have watched.
Hana Kimi
☆☆☆☆☆
This was the first drama I saw. It's so much fun to watch and also emotional in other places. It's very crazy and funny and just generally brilliant. The cast is fantastic too. Including, Ikuta Toma, Horikita Maki and Oguri Shun. It's based of a manga and another version of one of those Twelfth Night story lines. Maki plays a girl who disguises herself as a boy in order to get into a all boys school and help a guy get back into High Jumping as she feels responsible. Lots of craziness ensues. It's a lot of fun to watch.
Hana Yori Dango 1 and 2
☆☆☆☆☆
This drama is fantastic. I think I went through every emotion possible watching this. It just sucks you in and you get so involved with the characters. It tells the story of Tsukushi who gets involved with the formiddable F4 and her relationship with the head of the F4. The casting is great. Another drama with Matsumoto Jun and Oguri Shun together. The second series is not quite as good and a little frustrating and has a very annoying character in it but is still fantastic.
Hanayome to Papa
☆☆☆☆☆
This has to be the cutest drama ever. I absolutely love it. It has Junno in which gives it extra points. It's about a girl trying to break free from her father who still has house rules at age 20. She ends up falling in love with her co-worker and they try and get her father to approve of their relationship. It's very much about family relationships with romance thrown into the mix. The two leads are fantastic in their roles and have the greatest amount of expressions ever.
Honey and Clover
☆☆☆☆
A very sweet drama. Ikuta Toma is so adorable in this. Basically it's about a bunch of art students and their relationships. Involves a few love triangles and is quite sad in a few places. I think it's beautifully done though.
Kurosagi
☆☆☆
This tells the story of Kurosaki played by Yamapi who is known as Kurosagi, the black swinder. Basically he only swindles other swindlers in a way to get revenge. The main plot is very enjoyable. However, I really didn't like Maki's character or her friend as they were both very annoying. I didn't care for that part of the story at all. I would have liked more emphasis on the swindling which is probably why I liked the film a lot more 'cause they're barely in it.
Liar Game
☆☆☆
Enjoyable. It's about a very honest girl who inadvertently gets involved in a game which is structured around people's ability to be dishonest and their lies. Having problems she convinces a swindler just released from prison to help her. It's a very interesting concept and it was cool to see how it all developed and why things where happening. There's a lot of twists and turns.
Meichan no Shitsuji
☆☆☆☆☆
This is a delightful drama.
My boss my Hero
☆☆☆☆☆
This has to be one of the funniest shows ever and definitely up there with my top dramas. Nagase Tomoya plays a Yakuza who isn't very clever so his father, the boss, says he has to graduate from High School inorder to inherit the gang. It's the story of his journey through his year of high school and his relationships with the other students and his gang. Both Tomoya and Koki are fabulous in this and I've not seen a drama that's made me laugh so hard as this did. It's brilliant and everyone I've showed it to has loved it.
Nobuta wo produce
☆☆☆☆☆
This is quite possibly my all time favourite. The cast is great in this: Kame, Yamapi and Maki. Kame plays Shuji a student who puts on an act to be the perfect student to get through his school life but when Nobuko (Maki who is fantastic in this) enters the school Shuji teams up with his enemy Akira (yamapi) to produce her. At the heart of it it's not really a story of the producing but more of the friendships formed and the way in which this affects Shuji. It's really well done and also as one of the best drams tunes ever; Seishun Amigo ^^
Papa to Musume no nankakan
☆☆☆☆
This is a very funny show. Basically the father and daughter don't get along and end up swapping bodies and lives. Although it's not an original concept it's still a very enjoyable watch if only for the father who plays a teenage girl fantastically.
Proposal Daisakusen
☆☆☆☆
This is very sweet. Basically Yamapi plays a guy who is about to lose the one he loves and on her wedding day a fairy grants him the chance to go back to the past to get another shot. It's a really good idea and I think it's been done very well.
RH+
☆☆☆☆☆
I loved this so much. It's cute, tense and tearful and involves vampires. What more could you ask for? The episodes are quite short so it's not a massive journey in each episode but it's still fantastic.
Ryuusei no Kizuna
☆☆☆☆☆
This tells the story of three siblings whose parents were murdered when they were young. 14 years on, the case is close to the statute of limitations meanings it will be closed after 15 years has passed. As the time gets closer the siblings try to get to discover who the killer was by any means necessary. Firstly, starring Ninomiya Kazunari, Nishikido Ryo and Toda Erika, the cast is amazing and play believable roles. The action is humorous, tear-jerking and suspenseful. There are many surprises along the way and I was hooked with the story from the very beginning. It's a very entertaining and engaging drama and I recommend it highly.
Shimokita Sundays
☆☆☆
I watched this for one reason only and that was Fujigaya Taisuke. The plot itself is a bit odd. It's about a girl (Aya Ueto) who finds solace in the world of a drama grroup called Shimokita Sundays and somehow makes them be good. There's a lot going on and it seems a bit crowded at times. Sometimes it can be funny but a lot of the time it's like they're trying to be funny just for the sake of being funny which makes it fall flat, plus there are devices which make it just seem over the top. Despite this, there is enjoyment to be found with in it even if I did find myself doing other things when she went into one of her speeches. On a side note, Taipi was adorable in this.
Stand up!!
☆☆☆☆
I really enjoyed this. It's a bit of a slow story but that didn't hinder it. I found it funny and interesting. Basically it's about 4 boys who are the only virgins in their school so try to lose their virginity but many things stand in their way. It sounds a lot like American Pie but, believe me, is much more superior to that.
Suppli
☆☆
This is an okay drama. It's about a woman (Ito Misaki) who is very work-orientated and doesn't have time for much else. Then one day, she meets a new part-timer (Kamenashi Kazuya) at her company and things change. It has a similar theme to Anego in that it's an older lady who is so into her work and that affect on her love life. The story is nothing great and it's not particularly exciting. There are a few good moments but they don't come that often. The last episode was horrible and was full of very mushy over the top scenes that I felt were pretty unneccessary. The relationship between Kame and Ito's characters wasn't that very convincing and the kissing scenes were uncomfortable. The best thing about this was Kame who is always brilliant to watch. He was probably the only reason I finished watching the drama.
Sushi Oji!
☆☆☆☆
At first I wasn't sure about this but then it got really good. It's very funny and made me crave sushi a lot. It tells the story of a sushi prodigy, but an unfortunate event made him develop fish eye phobia so it's his journey to combat it. Koichi's character is quite odd but he plays him well. Nakamaru is alright in this but seeing as it's Nakamaru I was going to love him no matter what.
The Quiz Show 2
☆☆☆☆☆
As the title suggests this takes the form of a quiz show hosted by the eccentric MC Kamiyama (Sakurai Sho). The questions start off innocent enough but as the contestants get closer to realising their dream, the questions become much more probing and secrets are revealed. Yet, MC Kamiyaya himself has a mysterious past and cannot remember the last 8 years.
This drama is fantastic. At first I was worried it would be repetetive having the same format every week but it remained gripping and interesting throughout. Sakurai Sho and Yokoyama Yuu played the roles as the host and the director convincingly and it was interesting to see how they both changed and developed as the show went along. There was also some brilliant guest stars including Aikawa Sho and Narimiya Hiroki.
Tiger and Dragon
☆☆☆☆☆
This is really good and different. It's another one with Nagase Tomoya in who is such a good actor. It's about the world of monologue stores and Nagase plays a Yakuza who wants to join that world. It's really well done and is very funny. The stories of the monologues intergrate really well into the "real" world.
Tokkyo Tanaka San Go!
☆☆☆☆
Koki plays the lead in this one. He plays a guy who tries to be popular with girls and somehow enters the world of tetsu (railroad geeks) and along with two other lonely tetsu find love and friendship. It starts off a little iffy but it atually very sweet by the end of it and is a very enjoyable watch.
Uta no Oniisan
☆☆☆☆
This is the story of a jobless man with no ambition, just broken up by his girlfriend who somehow becomes a singing brother on a children's show. This is a sweet drama.
Yamada Taro Monogatari
☆☆☆☆
Yamada Taro (Nino) is a popular and good looking student at a school which is famous for very wealthy kids. However, Taro is very poor and has to take on part time jobs to support is family including 6 children and his mother. Sho's character finds them interesting and become friends. This is a very funny tale and has a focus on families and the way Taro puts his first before himself. There are a lot of hilarious moments and some that are touching too. However, the lead girl is very annoying and I found myself hoping she wouldn't get with Taro because she is that annoying. It's briiliant but the ending lets it down as there are things left resolved and it doesn't feel like an ending at all.
Yukan Club
☆☆☆☆☆
Basically they're six rich kids who solve mysteries to pass the time. This is a very odd but very fun drama. It has a lots of JE in it: Jin, Junno (KAT-TUN) and Yokoyama (Kanjani 8) make up half of the main cast cast and Koyama and one of the kids from hey! Say! Jump! both guest star. Jin is very much Jin in this but Junno is particularly epic as Bido. It's definitely not an involving series and each episode can be watched separately as there's no running story. It's silly, fun and awesome.
Specials
Happy!
Totally watched for Junno of course. It's about a girl who picks up her brother's debt so joins in a tennis tournament to get the prize money. It's okay. Not brilliant but watchable. It also seems to be unfinished so you leave it feeling quite unsatisfied.
Byakkotai
I'm not quite sure what I thought about this. The story was good but I think it was hard to take Koki and Yamapi seriously as samurais. Yamapi's acting seemed a bit stiff in this but I did like the guy from Kis-My-FtII a lot in this.
Cinderella ni Naritai!
This was rather cute. It's about a guy who all his life he is told he's ugly. Then by chance he meets a mysterious doctor who gives him a potion that changes his appearance for 24 hours. So he decides to change into the most handsome employee. It's only one episode at 46mins long so it's not been given any chance to develop. It would have worked a lot better if it was a full series and you could truly engage with the characters. However, it was still a very enjoyable little story.
Hana Kimi
This doesn't quite leave it where we left off. It begins with The Famous Detective Nakatsu a few months later trying to figure out when Sano fell in love with Mizuki and so it takes us to the last week of summer during the series. New faces appear in the form of Julia and friend of Mizuki from the US. It is just as crazy as the series if not more so. Sometimes there were parts that I thought were too crazy and unrealistic whic the series didn't really tread in to. However, it was still extremely fun to watch and hilarious. The three leads were wonderful in reprising their roles and like before, Nakatsu stole the show for me.
Satomi Hakkenden
Not really being a fan of period dramas or Tackey, I went into this one with a little trepidation which was lost fairly quickly as it was brilliant from the word go. There's a lot of cheesy moments and some of the effects are hilarious. Like the way in which Tackey fies about or the Mosterous Cat. However, it's increbibly enjoyable and is not just a straight-up war drama. It's full of magic, curses and evil spirits. it's tells the story of Satomi which came under a curse. The princess sacrificed herself for the sake of 8 children who 15 years later must come together as the 8 dog warriors to protect Satomi. It's really good and the fight scene are well choreographed. Also, Shoon is in this, the very reason I watched it and he is wonderful as expected. As are the rest of the cast. Yes, even Tackey.

Dropped:
Ganbatte Ikimasshoi (6/10) - I will probably never continue watching this. I want to like it so much 'cause, you know, there's Junno but it's so awful that I couldn't carry on! Not even Junno could save it.
Neverland - I couldn't get into it at all. It just looked really bad.
Bambino - I only ever got through half of the first episode. I tried a few times to continue but could never get into it.
