Back In Meifu...

Tatsumi held tight to Wakaba as they appeared just outside the infirmary once they'd reached Meifu. He gave the woman a grateful smile when she tried to hang on to him to keep him from stumbling. He turned his cobalt eyes to her and smiled gently. "Thank you for being with me," he said sincerely. "I..." He trailed off, worrying his lower lip with his teeth for a minute. "I don't think I want to be here alone. Will you stay for a little while, at least?"
He felt a wave of relief wash over him when she nodded, and together they went inside. When the doctors on duty saw him, an excited whisper seemed to ripple through the entire area. How long had he been gone? What had been going on while he'd been away? Had anyone even been out looking for him? He nodded to the one doctor when he came rushing over, only to tense and pull away slightly when the physician reached for him. "No. Tell me where you want me to go," he said sternly, a bit pleased when the other gasped and nodded and backed off a bit.
He felt his anxiety increase when they went into an examination room, and the doctor told Wakaba she'd have to wait outside while he checked the secretary over. Tatsumi understood that, but he didn't have to like it. He gave Wakaba's hand a small squeeze, and then let it go. "It's ok," he said in what he hoped was a reassuring voice. "I'll be alright." After a moment, he asked quietly, "I hate to impose...but do you think maybe...you could tell Tsuzuki I'm back? Give him a call at the office?"
