This is gorgeous. You rarely get to see Addison's point of view pre-Grey's and this was poignant and heartbreaking by just being honest and raw. I really loved this. Thanks for sharing!

Derek is such a total douchecanoe. (I am still eight years later working out my DShep issues.) However, this is beautiful. And Addison is just so. And Mark is perfectly Mark which means nothing except thank you for writing this. Love your writing as always.

I hate him. And I love him. And then I hate him again. Clearly, I am still working on it too. Depends on the day. Thank you, thank you!

Derek is like the exboyf I just can't let go. I'm hoping it's just a shallow thing like his hair is too intoxicating. I fear it's a deeper problem though.

I love the way you write Addison. I ache for her in the best way.

Oh wow. This was definitely not fluffy. In a good, albeit insanely painful, way.

But thank you so much! I love it. (And I'm sorry this is so late. I was visiting friends all week for New Year's and I wanted to make sure to read it when I could enjoy it and not when people were looking over my shoulder wondering what I was doing.)

I always love your characterizations of everyone, and this is no exception. Sometimes I wonder why I love Addison and Derek together because I really do hate Derek so much sometimes, and Addie just makes me want to hug her, and Mark is always awesome, especially when he's trying to pretend he doesn't care.

It's never been important before. Just missed coffee dates he would stand in for, buy her the wrong drink, feign ignorance, and pretend to be bothered by her.

This. That's exactly how I kind of always pictured how their relationship was back in New York.

And this:

What human sticks around clearly unwanted. Only her, evidently.Guh. Horrible Season 2 flashbacks. (Again, in a good way, as little sense as ( ... )

Oh hi, dearest, I am hijacking this to remind you VERY sweetly that you still owe me ("owe," what an ugly word, but you know what I mean) Addek at Bizzy's funeral. Just putting it out there. Because I miss your writing and Sarah's wonderful Addek reminded me!

Oh, god. This is so beautiful and bleak and Addek. I will never stop loving the way your portray them and your turns of phrase and - I feel like you own them sometimes. The cheek-kissing and juju really got me - that leading-up-to-the-end period must have looked quite a bit like the "good" parts of Season 2, and you really captured that. Ugh,t he whole thing was gorgeous. I can't believe I haven't commented until now. You can't ever stop writing them, okay?
