So for the first time ever I'm interviewing for a job that I really really want. All of my other jobs so far, I've kind of bit indifferent as to whether or not I actually care if I get them. Mostly because I know there are thousands of other jobs like them that I could do instead

That's really cool, and would as you say be a really nice step. I can't believe there's a possibility they might pay you up to $5k for 5 weeks for a camp job. What's this possible plan you have of going to Ghana? I know you've mentioned being interested in going there to learn more about their drumming first hand, but I didn't realize anything was actually in the works.

My school does a trip to Ghana every year, and they still have to decide if who they're taking, but there is a good chance I might be going this year.
And I couldn't believe they pay that much for camp jobs either. That's why I was only really looking at camps around southeastern MA.
If it makes you feel any better about it, I'll essentially be on call 24 hours a day for six days a week so broken down it's less than seven dollars an hour if I get it.
