I spent a few minutes today listing out big events/happenings of 20004, 5, and 6....its been an eventful/year full of changes. Next year will be full of those too. Yikes. Went to the fashion district for the first time, on foot, tonight. Pretty weird, like a different country. I can't even imagine growing up in that environment where clothes and accessories and looks are really valued. I bought a cool bracelet made out of wood and some religious pictures, I like it. A master's degree while you are working really is all about busy work. Maybe its because I'm just not super interested in the program itself, but whatever. I have finished a lot of work, now I just have this Literacy Instruction class to worry about, an English Language Development class to finish, and a Health class, then this semester is over ( Read more... )

Got a new job. Same job, but new school, new class, new 6 hours of kids schedule. That means I will not, i repeat, not, be substituting next year. This is the sprint. I'm counting down until I get to leave. No more teacher teacher. I'm not cut out for it, at least i just don't have the heart to keep with it. I love rating movies on my netflix. Can this be a job of some sort?
I'm excited to substitute teach next year. I think it'll be way more fun than really teaching. Exciting bursts of random classrooms. Sounds good.
