One big exam left for tomorrow. Then 12 hour days in lab until Sunday.
Maybe there'll be fun things to do during the few nights I have left before I leave the country...

Strange times call for boring measures.

I feel like I owe everyone that knows me and cares about me a huge apology for my behavior in the past 3 months. I have been selfish and inconsiderate. I have not been a good friend and gotten too wrapped up in my own little problems. I will try harder from now on and think about the consequences of my actions.

Why have I been sleeping so much? Grr.

Graduate school is good and bad. My new friends are crazy but fun. A while ago I visited west texas and enjoyed the desert. Last weekend I turned 23, dyed my hair black, and broke up with Ryan. Even by today things have not settled into place.

The VA research group took me out to lunch today. There were many shocking conversations and I found out that one of the PI's (a psychiatrist) is very gay and for 2 years I never picked up on it. Just sort of strange, but in retrospect it all makes sense ( Read more... )

Being in Houston this past weekend was really nice. Jessica, Michaela and I stayed at Hotel Icon where some random guy invited us to his penthouse for a party. It was incredibly nice, 3 stories, lavishly decorated, with an incredible view, huge bathtub, an open bar and a very cool bartender!! I'll be moving back to houston in August.

Today I flew back to Waco from visiting Tulane University/Medical School.

I loved New Orleans: creepy hotels, good food, very interesting people, big buildings and trees, excuses to consume large amounts of bourbon... what more could anyone look for in a city?

Now I am positive I dont want to stay at Baylor for graduate school.

I might be going to school in houston next year :). I got accepted to the Neuroscience PhD program at the UT Health Science Center. I'm very excited...

Oh, and last friday, I was eating lunch at a Thai restaurant and Ted Nugent walked in, sat down, and never took off his hat.
