Mages
See more information on magics here.

Mages look completely like normal humans, with the exception that their hair and/or eye color might be slightly weird (bright green, grey). Their body is different though, since they age slower than a human body. However, they look normal aged until age twenty. After that the body ages slower and they could still look twenty at age forty. Oldest mages are almost 500 years old.

All mages can learn all neutral types of magics. However, when a mage reaches a certain age (twenty, the same age body starts changing slower), he (or she) will have to choose a path; to master offense or to master defense. The once choosing offense will be declared as Black mages and the ones defending/healing as White mages.

Black Mages: Master all sorts of offensive magics, Black Magics. Elemental (such as fire, ice, water, thunder) are a part of these types of magics. Black Mages might also choose an element they prefer and use this as their main one, but usually they use all equally. They also learn any other offensive magic better than White Mages. Black Mages cannot use White magics.

White Mages: Master all sorts of healing and defensive magics, WHite Magics. This includes all sorts of healing and protective magics that are meant to help others. They can also slightly use nature in their spells, such as using vines to hold their targets still. They also learn any other defensive/healing magic better that Black Mages. White Mages cannot use Black magics.

Elves

Elves differ from human beings and mages. They have pointy ears and they look very enchanting. They're slightly smaller than average humans. Either they're short or then very skinny. Their skin color also differ: Forest elves skin looks perfectly normal, Blood elves are slightly paler and Shadow elves darker. Their hair and eye color might also be quite weird.

Elves age very slowly. A 50 year old elf might look around 10-15 year-old. The first few years of their lives go around quickly, but after elf turns 10 (or in other cases, 15) their body starts aging very slowly. Oldest elves are known to achieve age 2000. Elves rarely get sick, which is one of their secrets to long age.

Forest elves: One with the nature, these beautiful beings are capable of using nature as their help. They can understand animals and talk to them, ask for their helps. They are good at making medicine from herbs and finding the best places to find food from. Weather is also something they can understand; whether it will start to rain or not, they'll know.

Shadow elves: In ancient times, shadow elves were known as spies. They are good at hiding and sneaking, since they are good at hiding their presence into the shadows. Daylight isn't in their favor. That is one of the reasons they are sometimes called "Night elves".

Blood elves: The most beautiful, yet the most dangerous of the elf-kind. Blood elves have instincts of predators and they're able to smell blood from far away and sometimes even identify a person by his or her scent. There are a lot of prejudiced opinions about Blood elves, but they usually aren't evil. They can use their abilities to identify diseases from blood.

Humans

Humans are the most common race in the whole continent. They age normally, look normal. Humans don't have any special skills and are considered as the weakest specie on the whole continent. However it is also said that humans are the strongest at “heart”. The meaning behind this has been argued over thousands of years.

Even though they don’t have any special skills they are able to learn to use such things as swords and bows and most importantly: how to make them. They are very skilled in making things and creating new inventions.

Oldest humans are known to live over one hundred years, but that is rare. Most deaths are caused by beasts or simply by diseases.

Half-breeds

Most people hate half-breeds, some of them are even scared of them. They aren't popular anywhere, so they're more like outcasts. Half-breeds aren't very common, but they're not rare either.

Human/Mage: Half-mages live longer than normal humans, but not as long as mages. Their body starts changing slower around age thirty. Half-mages don’t choose a path, but also can't use all magics. They must stick with one path or the other, or only use basic and neutral spells. They can never become better than a full mage at them. Only the most basic spells work well for them, with others the power is cut very much.

Human/Elf: Half-elves age slower than humans, but faster than elves. They look normal aged until twenty or twenty-five and then they start aging almost as slow as a normal elf would. They are able to use elf-abilities, but not as well as a normal one would. Also, it’s possible that they’re only able to use only one of their abilities well and others badly (for example, half forest elf would be able to predict the weather quite well, but not communicate with animals or make powerful medicines).

Elf/Mage: A mix between an elf and a mage makes the person live longer than a human or a mage, but not as long as an elf. They, like half-mages, are able to use basic magic’s and don’t choose a path and are also able to use the elf abilities slightly like a half-elf. Their slower aging starts around the age of twelve, so they look younger much longer than the others.

Positions in Society

These positions belong to each of the race.

Nobility - the rulers of the kingdoms. The royal family is the leaders. Capitals and villages also have a Duke leading them and there are officials who have obtained the title of nobility and are considered as honorable members of the society. They are counselors for the king when he needs them.

To live in the castle or its grounds is a rare honor. However, there are some “normal” citizens living there. For example healers are not part of nobility, but they are needed to stay close to them.

Knights are the protectors of peace and bodyguards of the royalty. Some of them are also official protectors of the city. They are skilled in fighting - with or without weapons.

Normal citizens are those who live in the capitals or the villages and are positioned as blacksmiths, farmers and so on.

Rebels are a group of people who mostly live in the neutral areas. They oppose the kingdoms and want to create their own. They’re power-hungry and greedy. Some of them live only in the neutral areas; some of them hide in the cities. If a rebel is found from kingdoms borders he will be either expelled or put into a prison.
