Modnation Little Big Mario Kart Racer Planet

Been spending a lot of time playing Modnation Racers on the PS3 lately. I've been looking forward to this game for a long time. The game has a problems...mainly long load times, connection issues and track glitches that allows people to complete a hot-lap challenge within a few seconds. Hopefully there will be a patch in the near future to fix ( Read more... )

I really want to get Modnation Racers but it's problems just prevent me from doing so. I experienced the load times myself in the demo and have read many times that the single player AI is Mario Kart 64 on steroids. They did say that they'd be patching the load times and quite surprised to learn here that they haven't.

When BTB and I were playing LittleBigPlanet the other night, he mentioned stumbling upon a post stating that servers are segregated. Not only is that absurd in this day and age (hello MH:Tri!) but they said that if people had a problem with it they could patch it out. What?

Oh yeah, I noticed that servers are segregated too. It's done so that you won't have hundreds of people clogging up the small modcentral lobby, I guess.

And speaking of ridiculous load times, the full game requires that you install 3.2 gb of game data to your PS3 and you would expect that the game would be faster, right? BUT NO!! It's still slow!

Just need to hope and pray for a patch soon.

And the AI...I almost threw the controller at the tv out of frustration many times. ~_~;; The Demon Souls of kart racing!

Hey! Demon's Souls was hard but it's never unfair!

I'm not even sure I have enough space for 3.2gb at this point lol. You'd be surprised how fast 40gb goes when you have hundreds of Rock Band songs stored on it.

Waiting for FFXIV to come out before getting a PS3? :-P

Political crisis here died down and life's back to normal again. I don't know how international media covered this story, but all that I will say is don't believe everything you hear and see. :-) If it wasn't for the government and soldiers, normal people like me and pretty much the rest of Bangkok won't be able to go to work and do other daily activities. Nothing like being taken hostage by protesters for 2 months. Sheesh!
