The peppiest song that still chokes me up-Xmas edition

Only one radio station played this song.  Each time they played it, people would be calling up for weeks to ask what it was and where to get it.  Back in the 80s when the internetz was not so good, this was vexing because I couldn't find it anywhere!  And nobody knew what the hell I was talking about.
