She had just finished the last of the soda when she reached the kitchen, and she stopped.
"Hey, K. You sleep alright?" she asked.

"Molly,'s still sawing logs," she went on, depositing the latest batch of golden-brown flapjacks onto a platter. It already supported a small mountain of them. "I dunno where everybody else got to...they were all gone when I woke up." Even Xavin, which worried her a little given the proximity of one reluctant Emperor.
She turned to see Nico chucking an empty can of soda into a nearby trashcan and smiled. "I guess you've already eaten, but there's plain, banana and blueberry if you want any. I haven't started looking for syrup yet. This place is freakin' huge."

"If I had to guess, I'd say Chase is with the Leapfrog. And God only knows where Gert is... Vic's probably bugging the Avengers for autographs."

"I gotta say, if it comes to a throwdown between us and the Avengers, I'm not sure who Vic'd side with," she added, only half joking.
She snagged another plate and piled the pancakes on herself, happily slathering them with butter.

It was a sobering thought. They really had no guarantee that they were safe even here, surrounded by dangerous adults. How she'd managed to sleep at all last night, she couldn't really recall.
