At some point during the wanderings in the tower Xavin had taken a detour outside to retrieve his spacecraft. He landed down on the top of the tower. It seemed one of the New Avengers had received his message not to shoot on the small Skrull spaceship and that he wished only to ensure the government did not remove his and his bride's only way off

The voice on the other end of the comm channel took on a sardonic tone. << I trust that there is no objection from you on this matter? >>

"I was sent to deal with this matter." Xavin struggled to control his voice. "Tell me what has precipitated this response!"

If Karolina or her friends were harmed the warships would have more on their minds than retrieving the Emperor.

There was an uncharacteristic buzz of static from the comm.

<< The Emperor has had enough time to come to the correct conclusion. >> the voice on the other end said slowly. << The time to unify the empire is now, before we lose any other planets. >>

"What planets? All of the Empire's worlds are fractured and disarrayed. Why was I not informed of this most abrupt," He snarled the last word. "Decision."

Xavin was unaccustomed to being treated disrespectfully and he was all ready plotting ways to ensure the commander of the warship would face punishment for his incomptency.
