The elevator doors 'ding'ed open and Eli entered the Tower. He'd had a nice, long ...involved talk with his grandparents about being a super hero and being more polite to Captain America and how he was never allowed to scare them like that againNow his only question was where was everyone else

"I haven't seen you in some time." Kristoff folded his arms and looked at the Young Avenger. He paused.
He would at least try to get along with Cassie's friends. "Are you feeling better?"

Well, it might not be anyone he was hoping to see, but at least the Tower wasn't completely abandoned. Kristoff didn't seem to be his usual, annoying self, which was also good.
"I came by to see how everyone was doing."

If Cassandra left the tower it was going to be his turn to yell at her. She at least could have brought him along for protection.

They probably could have dealt with the Kree soldiers on their own.
Eli knew that most teenagers tended to act as if they were never going to die. Considering that he'd just been shot in the stomach, though, he was willing to bet that he had a better perspective on it.
"Well, let's see if we can find anyone." he said, turning and heading down the hall. He wondered if Kristoff was going to follow or not.

She stood there, half pouting at the unfairness of it all. The two boys noticing Karolina didn't even register to her, at least not visibly. She already knew Karolina was pretty. If anything, she hoped she'd be as pretty as Karolina or Nico or Gert someday. Molly didn't want to grow up, but she did really want to be pretty.

I shouldn't have been gone this long. he thought. It's not like I needed the recovery time. And now I have to ask a stranger what happened to my teammates.
Eli's abdomen twitched at him -- it may not have been badly injured, but it was still tender. It twinged at him when he started to tense up. He hoped that side-effect had a limited life-span. In the meantime, he took a deep breath through his nose and tried to relax a bit.

"I'm up-to-date on everything up until the riot over in Mutant Town." he said as Karolina got to her feet. Several days of grandparent-enforced bed-rest and frantic calls from his mother when she'd heard the news hadn't really put him in a relaxed mood. Especially when it was his own stupidity that had nearly gotten him killed in the first place.
That had been awkward.

Tact, Elijah. he reminded himself, and bit off an accusative question before it left his mouth.

She paused thoughtfully. "Maybe I'll name one of my kids Doom..."

Chase had a bigger grin on his face as he looked over to Eli.
"You ever feel like no one on your team listens to you?"

"Vision!" Eli said, startled. "We were just looking for you." his brow furrowed. "Is something wrong?"
"[The Avengers recieved a message from Hawkeye just over twenty minutes ago.]" the Vision said. "[He was reporting a kidnapped super hero and requesting heavy hitters and that they not involve us at all.]"
"So what's the bad news?" Eli asked.
"[He was calling from Mrs. Xanathos' ice cream shop. I have reason to suspect that it's Sinesis again.]"
"Didn't you say that you heard our friends going over to the ice cream shop?" Eli demanded, whirling on Karolina. Oh hell, not again...

Time to mount up. She stripped her bracelet off and tucked it away. No telling what kind of trouble they might run into on the way.
The Leapfrog's hatch opened as they approached, and once again Karolina questioned its inherent intelligence. The thing was creepy, no two ways about it, but also kind of comforting in a large, impenetrable metal sort of way. She glided in and took a look around.
Nowhere NEAR enough seats for all the butts they were going to be packing in.
"Molly, buckle up," she said.

She followed them right up and into the leapfrog, still pondering this. When Karolina ordered her to buckle up, she did it almost without thinking about it, although she was drawn back to reality just a bit.
"Sinesis sounds like an STD..."
