Buccellati is tasked, along with his group, with delivering the mafia boss's daughter to him. After being attacked by the boss unexpectedly, Buccellati is killed, and everyone discovers that the boss's true aim is to murder his daughter, the only link to his past. With Buccellati partially restored by Giorno's Stand, he leads the group on a journey to defeat the mafia's boss, all the while hiding his true fate: a walking corpse.
