My first companion bird, Rama, passed away last night. My father found him this morning and gave him a burial. He was my best nonhuman friend from my sixteenth birthday until I moved across the country for school, and I miss him very much.

Joules, I know this isn't really the appropriate forum to say this, but I am very sorry for your loss. It sounds like Rama was very well loved and very happy, and will be missed very much and very sincerely. If you need anything, please don't hesitate, and I again, I'm very sorry.

Sorry to hear about Rama, Julia. I remember him quite well, and so does my ear from the time he bit it. Heh

We lost Thumper last week to kidney failure. It's been real hard on me and especially on my grandmother, so I know how you're feeling right now.

Thanks for the kind words. It was really a shock, but he had a nice life and a comfortable home. I'm sorry about Thumper... he was a great kitty, and I know you and your grandmother must miss him terribly. I'd like to think they (the animals) understand somewhat just how much they mean to us, and that they're loved.
