I think you would enjoy anything by Hunter S Thompson...not really anti war stuff, though some of it does have some anti war sentiment I guess...but it's good writing and always interesting.

Has he written anything besides Fear and Loathing?

Either way, you're probably right, I'll see if the Sicamouse library has any.

Happy Birfday, man. Welcome to the third decade of your life.

Book recommendations, is it? War novels, are they? Huh. That's probably my worst genre (as far as recommendations go).

I have a feeling, if you like Heller and Vonnegut, that you'd enjoy Douglas Coupland, although I don't have a specific recommendation and I'm not sure that his subject matter is exactly what you're looking for. Still, I think it'd be a good fit - he's a Canadian satirist. If I were to start reading him, I think I'd probably pick up Generation X or jPod.

Now, see, if you were looking for some kind of alternate history, I could help.

Elie Wiesel's Night is a shattering, powerful look at the Holocaust. That's the best I can do.

Greg likes to touch himself...but only on the morning of the eve a full moon whist sitting approximately seven eighths of the way up a tall church steeple.

Thanks, I'll look those up too. Here's hoping that it's a good decade too.

If I remember correctly there is a Canadian authour by the name of Kinsela that wrote a bunch of stuff about Canadian Natives, i.e. Vaughn's folk. Thing is he was a white dude. Ver controversial, but incredibly accurate. Deals with a lot of racism. Also, did you follow my instructions regarding the Big Rock stuff?
