I want to make an archive of New York City slang. Terms like mad, brick, brolic, OD, dead ass, whilin'.

This is seriously the only place I've lived that's had its own super specific slang.

general, new york, random

bb, I've missed you!

... Here goes the first entry in the Encyclopedia New Yorkica.

Mad. Adjective used in place of "really" or "super". Most similar to "very". Oh man, she was mad jacked last night."

Brick. Noun. Very, very cold. Tomorrow it's supposed to be kinda brick. I need to bring a scarf."

Brolic. Can be either an adjective or noun. Implies that someone is big, as in muscular. "Son, there's this dude at my gym. Guy's brolic like the Hulk, man."

OD. Again, either an adjective or noun. sed to imply that something is "very" something else. Usually in a negative way. "Girl, that's OD." "They are OD twisted up."

Dead Ass. Noun. Used in place of "serious". "Betty said that he was at the party last night and I was like 'are you dead ass'?"

Whilin'. Noun. Used in place of "freaking out", usually in conjuncture with another of the above. "She got a B on last week's paper and she just went off mad whilin'. Like OD."

... The formatting needs work, but that's the gist of the content.
