Ooooi, where to begin.
Been busy busy busy since the last update.
HNMs
-----
Got a second KB like a week after the last post. A free Aspi a week or two after that, but we got d-feeted D:
Got yet another Ridill, which makes 5 O_o. Heckel, Me, Hoss, Kaylis, Rurousha. For some reason we're just really really lucky with Blue Swords. 5 of those, and only 2 E. Hands, how is that possible? Karma ftw.
Killed KV a few times, got 2 Ace's Helms out of it for Rad and Siya. Kraken DRK is fun. :3 Kraken DRK with 2k HP and the ability to turn half of that into damage if hit is funner :D
Decided to try out some Wyrms. Wrecked about 8 of the KS99 variety, and then went up to Ule to try for one a little harder.
End Result:
Killed him in about an hour.
Sky
-----
Lots of progress sky wise, day isn't too far off where we can stop doing it all together. I think as of this post, we're sitting on about 6 Byakko pops, and then another 2 already completed kirins. With those Byakko's we'll have like 8 of them. Maybe Kirin will grace us with some speed pants, and the kitty will grace us with his own little hax pants instead of going 0/4 like last time.
Sea
-------
Sea wise.. Lots and lots of jailers, got some hope torques (Grats Ghost), and Fortitude Torques(Grats Vagi), none of the others until last night, Love Torque (Grats Jaffar).
Also, Omegaknight picked up zee BLM earring of power :D Now he may outdamage us all. Should be at like.. +23 MAB or something now, yikes. Lolspear to Siya. Months worth of harassment and light hearted ridicule to Radient. :p
Dynamis
------
Doing good in Dynamis. We've pretty much shifted to not even trying to do Xarcabard on Saturday because of the JPs. They'll just run up and trade, and go in with like.. 7 people. It's infuriating, but that's the way it goes I guess. After a few months of focusing on the cities for currency to recover from Luc's little escapade, we killed the attestation NM for Siya's GKT and managed to get it to drop on the second try. Gotta get a few more Beauc clears, then we'll be about ready for Dynamis Lord attempt #1.
We've been getting a looot of good AF2 though lately, except for the last 2 runs they were very very generous.
Since Siya got his Stage 4 we've had two trips, one extreme mobs(Xarca), one soft mobs (Bubu). The thing is pretty hot, especially for not having the final version. 4-600 on kindred, 1-1.2k with SA. I wasn't really paying too much attention to it in Bubu, but I did hear him go "1868!", so dayum.
Teh Downs
----------
Not everything has been all rosey though. We finally got ahold of Cerberus one night when we got out of Dynamis and everyone was still waiting on Faf to pop. Tanks didn't really know what to expect, but we dropped him down to 25% in about 30 minutes. By that time we must have had like 4 linkshells crowding behind us, the lag was teeerrible D: Hit stun as GoH entered chat log, it didn't even start casting for another second and GoH got off, people paniced, second stun got lagged out, wiped.
The second time we got him, they had like 11 people at start. I was still at work for another 30 minutes or so, and still had to drive home. I think they had 1 SMN and 1 blm a few tanks and a whm. I didn't think it was too good of an idea for them to claim or anything, but in hindsight, I guess I'm kinda glad they did. During that time, the tanks learned a whoooole lot about him and his moves, I got there and it was like 46%. When they started, the two melee that were there were two of our newest, so their gear is still mostly AH, as you can imagine, damage wasn't too great, and it took forever. Stun order was bleh, and something we've really got to work on it seems >.> I had to keep calling out who was next, don't understand that ;; I guess it wasn't their job to stun goblin bombs when they were coming up either though, so bleh. Highlighted some weaknesses to correct, and we'll learn from it. Wiped at 3%, so close ><.
Last bit was Fafnir on Sunday. First interval pop. I'm in the tree when it popped with 4 other people, have 2 tanks a whm a monk, a rdm and a blm in the pit. AV was there, I asked how many they had in the pit at pop, "8 maximum", ok, cool, only 2 less than them at pop time. These five JPs claimed him, by the time it ended they had 8 I believe, those guys were amazing, and I'm really glad they won to prevent stuff from going downhill. Now keep in mind the totals in pit at time of pop, JP: 5, AV: 8, NO: 6. I'm still running up, so I tell Hoss, who just zoned in up there, to set up a random, since the odds of 5 people killing Fafnir is kinda low. Apparently, it is rude to ask another LS for a random. (???wtf?) Or atleast that's what Maath seems to have told Hoss. For 50 minutes, the guy is doing this weird stall tactic, looping the random request around and around forever. The last time I had seen this was back in January when I tried asking for a random at Cerb. Does this weird stall tactic like he's trying to talk to you, other linkshell wipes and then, while still trying to talk to him mind you, AV runs up and claims him. Yeah, bullshit. >< Apparently AV didn't think 18+ people was enough to random or something that day, kinda Dius like. Not like they have adhered to the random rules that strictly in the past (yhellotharrandombeforeanyoneelseescapes), but damn.
Anyways, 5 minutes left on the rage timer, Hoss has been trying to get a random out of them for 50 minutes now and they just won't do it. Kinda looks like January Cerb all over again. So, I've had it, and just come out and say it. "Are you going to random, or are you going to try to turn this into some sort of retarded voke contest." That is what it seems they were about to do afterall. Meh, needless to say that didn't go over well. Apparently we were supposed to be "respectful" and let them have the mob, as they had two more people than us at pop time (oh noez, 2 people), and the little ditty from Dionel that it should be theirs because "It's in our time zone, n00b!" (Although he said they had 15 in pit, but that's not the first time they've had problems with counting below 50. Math is hard I guess.) Quite a bit of unwarranted self-entitlement from my point of view for a linkshell with their history. >.> Different name, same Dius. Oh well, not gonna waste any more time with them. In the end, the JPs wound up killing him with 8 people from the five right before it finished going into Rage. It was a really good fight, and I still don't know how they had the MP to do it, haha. JP Button makes it possible. BirdsofParadise, someone said they were TripleEx reformed, but that's the first I've heard of it. Regardless if any of them happen to actually read this and understand English, damn good fight :3
Still going strong. :D As long as we keep learning at the rate we're going, We'll be able to kill anything ;)
