The rule is incredibly stupid and seriously needs looking over. I do understand that it's there to stop riders causing crashes and getting back on the grid, but this was not the case for either Bati nor Aleix. Both very unlucky but that's the way it goes, they can't just ignore the rules.
I do love how Bati tried and argued with the marshal to get back on the grid though, no harm in trying, eh? :P
the thing is that neither of the riders caused the crash, therefore in my opinion they should be allowed to race. hell, even if Randy was okay, he should be allowed to race. it's not that the crash was a cause of someone's boneheadness, it was just a ridiculous coincidence involving three riders, nothing less, nothing more. so... o.O
I totally agree. Which is why I think the rule seriously needs to be looked at.
It was hugely unfair on both of them, but the marshals unfortunately had to stick with the rules. I just hope that they see what's happened today and rethink the rule because something like that shouldn't be allowed to happen, it's really unfair. I'd like to think it would make them think through rules before they even make them, but that's never going to happen...

I wouldn't want to be at anyone's place who told Bati he's not allowed to race :(
