I still have faith in MotoGP

As some of you might know, my dad is a four-wheel guy. He loves car racing in general and rarely misses a F1 race. Which sometimes makes me join him and watch the borefest that F1 is due to lack of better things to do. And that's what had happened during last two weekends. [yay for Laguna being so late.]
The Hockenheim race was, let's say, not the ( Read more... )

it's ridiculous. the rules are being broken pretty much every race and they get away with it! especially Ferrari, they seem to get some special treatment form Bernie and others...

F1 is only based on strategy, thank God it would be quite impossible to motorbike riders to follow team orders. :)

how? despite motoGP being boring, the gaps between riders are still too small to give any room for race orders. then again, tell Iannothing to drop a place and he won't get it ;P

I was incredibly annoyed after the race at Hockenheim. I know at some point during the season when only one driver is realistically in the title hunt it's okay, but it's only just at the half way point and both drivers are still within a chance.. It just annoyed me how blatant it was and how they tried to deny it afterwards as well. And then they brought poor Rob Smedley into it, how could they!?

Hungary has always been a rubbish track, and it was more exciting than I expected it to be ;) It was kinda sad that pretty much the only overtaking maneuver was by someone going 3 seconds a lap than the other guy.. Spa and Monza are next so they should be decent though :)

But still, all of this is why I hugely prefer moto and why it will always pwn F1 and will always have my priority ;)

well, you can say Estoril 06 was some kind of example of race orders, but Dani screwed it up :P

for me it's never okay to say "your engine is overheating" when you're clearly faster and doing some good laptimes. why even bother racing, maybe they should go dyno testing and give up organising races...?

Haha yeah :P But like I said, I don't really mind when it's coming towards the end of the season and championships are there to be won/lost. Luckily for Dani it all went Nicky's way anyways, haha!

But yeah, with Alonso and Massa, it wasn't even half way through the season, Massa still has a chance and had Massa won there would have been 24 points between them, less than a race win which isn't really a lot at that point in the season. And the fans also missed out on a fight for the lead. Plus, Ferrari probably ended up shooting themselves in the foot. Imagine all the good PR they could have had with Massa winning on the anniversary of his accident? Mehh, instead they end up screwing races cause Alonso was whining. Might as well just send Massa home if he's not allowed to fight for the win.
