aside from my gushing though, do you "safety save" in stages, or do you leave the oekaki open until it's done?

i leave it on. which explains my 4-day in a row oekaki-open Internet Explorer. i have to take plenty screenshots just in case i lose it, which it has happened before, wayyyy too many times.
