Anyway, some good news that I haven't shared here yet, I'm a professional cook now as well as a culinary student. Since the day before Easter, in fact. My first work pretty much was helping to put on an easter buffet for some 200 or so people. I've done several other banquets since then, as well as working on the line. I'm glad this school is paying off, so to speak, and you get to do something career-oriented with what you learn. Is this near your school?

Yeah, this is just half an hour from school, but an hour from home. It's almost no commute at all after school since it's basically on the way home, but it does mean a lot of hours hanging around campus after class. Sometimes I can get homework done then, other times I just bring a book.

It's not paying off financially compared to computer programming, but then, I didn't really expect it to, at least not for years. As long as I get up to enough to live on.
