Tomorrow morning will be my final for my nutrition class, after which we'll be doing nutritional cuisine cooking for the rest of the week instead of 'chalk and talk' as they call it. Although we don't have chalkboards, we have whiteboards... anyway, I have to remember ( Read more... )

The 4 sources of calories are - carbohydrate at 4 cal/g protein at 4 cal/g, lipids at 9 cal/g, and alcohol at 7 cal/g.

I only missed one question, so I got a 97.5 ... durn it, why couldn't there have been more questions?

The human body is, by the by, 50-60% water.

Also, you've had too many beers already... 7 calories per gram is more than 4 calories per gram. ;) (Well, on the other hand, beer is less than 10% alcohol, so ... maybe... how many nachos were you going to eat with that beer? :o )

Ah, but aren't nachos fried in oil, not baked, in the typical setting? That brings up those pesky "long, slow burn" 9 calories per gram.

Ohhh, that's true.

But baked nachos taste better, I think. A lot of things taste better fried, but not nachos.
