I love this rather a lot - love Martha's certainty and curiosity, and her love for Ten as a friend...

And love Ten realising she's right...

Thanks, Pers. Would you believe this was going to be shippy when I first decided to write it? I don't know what happened - but I like this exploration of character better.

Heh, such is life - or fanfic, anyway...

Thank you for the comment!

Silly Time Lords, Martha is always right, hehe.

‘It’s like being an amnesiac with someone else’s past. You’ve got this new skin which you’re trying to stretch over decades of memories, and this new perspective which sort of skews it all, and you try to work out who you are while all the people around you have this idea of who you were.’

I love this description of what regeneration is like for a Time Lord. I'd never quite thought of it in that way.

this always happens with Martha, because her eyes say I want to know, and he knows exactly how that feels and can’t deny her

I loved the dynamic of Ten & Martha in this; you can tell that he really gets her and that she finally gets him.

Great job!

Ah, thank you for commenting on that description! I had to leave the fic and go away and think about it, about how I wanted to say what I was thinking about regeneration, but I'm happy with how it turned out, and I'm glad you are too!

Thank you for commenting!

Like a few others have commented, I truly love the dynamic between Ten and Martha in this. It just feels so beautiful and so right. I love their friendship and that they are finally starting to understand one another.

What a lovely, lovely story -- thank you!

Thank you for commenting, I really appreciate it.

I believe Ten and Martha have one of the best dynamics I've seen, beautiful and right, as you said, especially the way it's extrapolated in fanfiction.

Your icon's pretty appropriate! :D
