Yahnkehy: Personally, I wasn't that impressed. It felt like a filler. Cutting loose ends; Dean losing the last of Lisa and Ben. Sorta the closure they never got before. Sam's case, it was just kinda generic.
Shadow: Yeah, but with Dean, for some reason, I don't know what it is, but it never feels done. Like, he's going to keep showing up on their doorstep. Even more so with Ben's whole "you're leaving your family behind" and the way Dean was talking only helped that feeling along. Sam... there really wasn't anything on him, though I did like how the sister had the kidney, which was how the ghost was hopping around. Kind of a clean ending though, too easy. 0_o Not saying it wasn't sad and all that but still, no hard choices were made; the girl just died.
Yahnkehy: Yeah, I agree. I dunno if Ben and Lisa are going to make many more appearances, though. Like snipping the threads slowly, to drag them out.
Shadow: Maybe, but something in my gut says otherwise; no idea why. Though, I did like at the end that the boys had a moment, even if there was no hugging
Yahnkehy: Sames. They need more moments like that. Sam's back, but the connection between them feels like it's failing to connect again.
Shadow: Yeah, it's like they're to the point of broken that it's just not enjoyable for them to be brothers anymore. They're getting the short end of the stick so often it almost seems like, why bother getting up out of bed?
Yahnkehy: Exactly. There was the start of the connection in the first episode where Sam's soul was back, but the first hunt after that landed them back on the "Who the hell are you?" side of the fence.
Shadow: Yeah, the writers either need to let them breathe or they need to kill them off, honestly. I feel like next week is an attempt to add some humor to it but its misplaced because a laugh here and there isn't going to fix the problems.
Yahnkehy: I totally agree.
Shadow: One good spot I can think of. Well, two: One, the dicks totally got what was coming to them, and, two, though it was awkward, the boys really are trusting one another and getting back to "there isn't anything I won't do for you." Even if it is only the beginning.
Yahnkehy: I can agree with that. Three out of the four assholes got their just desserts. We never saw the fourth guy that asshat #3 was talking on the phone with. And, Dean getting all "overprotective big brother" at the beginning and Sam pulling the adorable "I'm here for you" Sammy-face at the end, totally made me grin. Well, Dean's "Leave my baby alone! She's got nothing to do with this!" made me cackle, too.
