I long to write some more fic but find myself a bit stymied. Any prompts for me? XMFC and Elementary particularly desired.

I think Elementary is ripe for crossover (even a passing one) with something else set in NYC, but am not sure which, specifically. Hm.

(And I realize this is not very helpful. Sigh.)

Agreed! What about Elementary/Ugly Betty? Maybe Joan has some sort of past connection to Daniel Meade? Or Sherlock and Betty know one another from London?

Or Elementary/Doctor Who? Joan as a 'companion' of sorts to someone even more brilliant and eccentric than Sherlock. Or they all have to work together. Like Martha, Joan's an actual doctor...

Or, if you are at all familiar with the upcoming Winter Soldier storyline for the next Captain America movie (I just wikipedia'd it), the potential for cool and emotional crossovers with XMFC set in the 60s is enormous. Xavier could help, at least temporarily, or...

I feel like the tones of UB and Elementary are too disparate to easily bridge. Joan as Companion, though - that's interesting.

In Elementary, we saw Joan changing her on-line profile to list her profession as "Consulting Detective." I'd love to see what kind of clients she gets on her own, not through Holmes, and how she builds up her new business and professional reputation.

Interesting. That would be good crossover fodder, there.

FYI, the prompt you posted at Tumblr has made me wonder, what if they turned the jaegers into Sentinels? CROSSOVER CITY.

Now I'm longing for a fusion between the two! Recovering addict Charles Xavier, solving crimes for the NYPD with the help of his sober companion, the no-nonsense Erik Lehnsherr.

I must consider! Though somehow Charles strikes me as more the sober-companion type, and Erik as more tormented -

On the strength of the the Jonny Lee Miller - Robert Carlyle connection, I've been wanting to see a Elementary, Once Upon a Time crossover. I haven't been able to figure out whether it should be Mr. Gold in New York or Sherlock in Storybrooke.

Oh, Sherlock in Storybrooke, for sure. I think Joan would be very little impressed with his fairy-tale theories, and might bond with Emma at Granny's someday.

Definitely Joan and Emma bonding on a 'you think your guy is nuts' level.
