Yes! Japan #44 is a bread. The most popular one I have made.

It seems that somehow, you get to go to heaven if you take a bite out of it. Most people who have eaten it freshly bakes have passed out because of it... Somehow its heavenly.

I have over 60 Japan...I think. But, I mostly made more of #44 because of its reputation.

Don't misunderstand that either. All my breads are good. For example, Japan #2 is very fluffy inside and its made out of a rice cooker. Another reconized one is #8 for it's green color and turtle shape.
