For the record, drawing nude models is a lot more challenging than it sounds. I'm not that confident in my art to begin with, and drawing people has never been my strong point. I'm just glad it's over with ( Read more... )

Hopefully you get an A, and, awww...wasn't drawing naked people a little fun, at least? =D

You'll probably be a great rigger/setup artist/cool person (ah, wait, you're already the third - do I get points for kissing your butt?) someday.

=D If you can afford one, you must tell me when you have a scanner. I'd be so excited to see anything you've drawn!

Well, I hope so. I've been checking out human anatomy books and such, so that I can study the muscular structure in human bodies. It's reeeeeally cool. *nerd*

I'm enjoying your blog. You go into some nice detail about your classes and what you're learning in 3D with Maya. There's a lot to know, and life drawing is critical to being a good rigger and character animator. Realize that actually "seeing" in 3D and rendering it on to 2D paper is different than creating 3D on a 2D raster ...it's essential in developing your "eye."

That's about all I can offer ...you seem farther along. Hopefully soon we'll both be as adept as the artists whose links you posted! :)

You enjoy my blog? Haha, I'm not sure how. I mostly just rant about school and art that I see on the internet... pretty boring stuff, to most everyone else. I'm just a complete nerd.

I'm aware that improving my ability to draw people will help me excel in rigging, I'm just not a big fan of drawing nude people. I'm more comfortable with using a reference of a person or character, and drawing something based on that. I'm currently working on a big... demon... thing, for an object perspective project, and it's a lot more fun for me than staring at a naked woman and trying to get her proportions right on paper within five to 10 minutes. I'm working on it, though ( ... )

Well realize "enjoy" is a relative word. I figured there must be tons of blogs out there from 3D students/artists, but so far you are all I can find. Besides really this doesn't suck too much! lol Actually it's interesting to read about how other people get going into the process ( ... )
