Ah, Friday afternoons feel so lazy sometimes, but I'll be here for another few hours before the day is out.  So far this internship at Island Def Jam Records has been relatively interesting and I even saw Jay-Z and Ludacris a couple weeks ago.

valentine's day? who needs it! it's just another american holiday that's trying to boost up the economy by making you spend money.

Haha... yes, it's a very commercialized holiday. You should need a particular day to tell you how to treat the person you care about. I hope things with T are going all right though.

i have come to realize since I entered college 3 years ago how overrated Valentine's day is! i think it's from those horrible chocolates i used to get in HS. lols jk! i didn't even celebrate it last year, my bf went to work and I hung out and got drunk with old co-workers. this year... hhHhmMmm, I have the perfect date, my Maternal-Newborn Nursing textboooooook! beat that >=oP

anyhows I really like this particular entry of yours. it's almost like you took out everything from my mind about people and relationships and put it to writing for me because I've been too busy to go online. hehe by the way, "Averie" is in my baby-names list, so two thumbs up to your niece and congrats to you! =o) She must be as cute as her name!

Regardless of what you do on V-day... enjoy it. =D I'm glad that I was able to put to words some of the thoughts that you've been having.

Anyhow, I will have some pictures of Averie up soon enough. =D

So, I had to copy this and put it in my userinfo. I didn't know what part i liked the best, so I did the whole thing. Welcome to my "quotes" page...

I always tell my friends to watch out for selfish and arrogant people. Selfish people tend to cheat more often because their needs and interests come before those of others and therefore should the opportunity present itself, they're more likely to think about themselves than their partners and do the dirty deed. As for arrogance, if a person who thinks they are better than everyone else will not treat you with an equal amount of respect and eventually use that as an excuse for their actions... including cheating on you. There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance...

That has to be the best thing I've read all year.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed reading what I wrote. I just hope that more women would heed such advice in the long run and stop making excuses for the the cocky/arrogant and disrespectful men they go out with. I think some women feel they can correct the problems their men have, but fail to realize that change comes from within and as long as those guys don't really think anything is wrong with the way they act or behave, they won't truly change. They will make temporary changes to keep their girlfriend's mouths shut, but will end up reverting to their old ways before too long.

Yeah... it's a painful lesson that some women just have to learn on their own. Good luck with your next relationship. =)
