I'm a major angst writer. LOL. I get to the schmoop, too, but normally I put the boys through hell first. But the quote from the article is actually something I read a long long time ago, and I've been wanting to put it in a fic since I started writing slash. It never struck me as so absolutely appropriate as with Sam and Dean.

As I said in a response above, the article quote was from something I read a long time ago when I was trying to keep my marriage together and I've wanted to write it into a fic forever. It seemed almost obscenely appropriate for Sam and Dean.

And also... your icon? Made my brain explode with the hotness. That just put a whole scene in my head.

New couples sleep facing each other to be near to one another. Older couples sleep facing away from one another - and suddenly it all made sense - to protect each other.

Best line ever... I just smiled to myself when I read it. Because it makes sense where it concerns the boys. ^_^ It was adorable and heart warming. I thoroughly enjoyed it, love.

Seriously, though, I'm so glad to see you coming over into the Wincest fold, and not just because it means you'll enjoy the story I'm writing for you more. It's almost a pity to have a writer as talented as you are in the fandom and NOT have you writing for my OTP. LOL.

Glad you liked the quote. That actually did come from an article, I think pretty much verbatim. But I read it years ago, so I have no idea if it's exactly as I read it or if it's just the way I remember it.

And even though the boys are a new couple, the number one motivating force for both of them is the protection and happiness of the other. Not to mention that in the life they lead, they're used to watching each other's backs. Sometimes, that's all they have.

I'm so, so glad you liked it. Your opinion means a great deal to me, and always has.

There are still certain things that squick me... but considering the type of fics I like, that surprises me a little. Still... incest is a bit of a taboo for me. Probably always will be in one way or another, though bit by bit I'm slowly molding. It'll take some time. ;)
