HURRAH!
We combined them in groups of 3 and got them to make poses that looked fun. For the talk these 9 people are challenging their first group talk. We tried asking them about their weak and strong parts.
Our characters are strong but everyone are uchi benkei
(An uchi benkei (内弁慶) literally means 'Benkei inside'; it means someone who is boastful in private, but meek and reserved in public. English equivalents are 'a lion at home and a mouse abroad', 'every dog is a lion at home', etc etc. You'll find out more about how these boys are uchi benkei when reading on. XD)
Sanada The talk's theme's is about this unit's strong and weak parts, of course isn't the strong part our characters?
Watanabe I wonder if it's strong. With everyone is pretty much uchi benkei, there's a rumour saying we don't show that on the surface at all (*laugh*)
Fukasawa That's for sure. We're the most interesting when we're in the dressing room. If there was a camera set up in the dressing room, there would be an extremely amazing picture taken (*laugh*)
Sakuma The one with the biggest gap is probably Hikaru.
Nozawa Right! That noisiness in the dressing room, what in the world is that? I'll be in a different dressing room, but I'll hear an extremely loud voice yelling "uwa~~!", and a 'thump thump' sound (*laugh*)
Miyadate In any case that's Hikaru making too much of a racket, then finally I'll kick his ass···doesn't it seem like that (*laugh*)?
Watanabe The pair's exchange, really, it's like a short skit. This kind of show, if they were made to hold around 10 shows in 1 day, they'd get a lot of laughter every time.
Sakuma We'd be watching that while holding onto our knees ne (*laugh*). In the corner of the really small dressing room.
('Holding onto our knees' = with their knees pulled up and their arms around them, I'm going to assume.)
Watanabe Isn't it around 4½ tatami (*laugh*)? An amazing number of people gather there. Like the small juniors, for some reason they come gather in our dressing room.
Iwamoto Right right. When we go back to our dressing room after our turn is over, the small juniors are already in our dressing room (*laugh*)
Miyadate In that small space, me, I do stuff like jumping kicks. Someday someone will probably get hurt (*laugh*)
Iwamoto That's true. (Suddenly, he holds his waist) Ouch ouch ouch··· ah~, the old injury I got from『~Takizawa Kakumei』 still hurts now (*laugh*)
Fukasawa That was forced (*laugh*)!
Iwamoto Once, I had tried hard to do it while thinking 'I'll try to go beside everyone···', but I'll surely end up crossing someone's foot or body somewhere (*laugh*)
Sanada Even though you didn't have to do that (*laugh*). But this funny part, it still hasn't shown on the surface ne. If we were talking about the part that shows on the surface···
It'd be good if we had a dressing room set on stage!?
Nozawa Our dance individuality is strong.
Onodera Especially Sakuma ne! If I were to say it in an easy-to-understand way······an octopus (*laugh*)?
Sakuma I'm not an octopus! Your point is that I'm able to move smoothly isn't it!
Watanabe He's aiming for M.A.D.'s Yamamoto-kun, but his direction is a slightly wrong one (*laugh*)
Miyadate Abe memorizes the choreography quickly doesn't he.
Abe Eh~, I don't think so.
Watanabe Abe is, rather than memorizing the choreography quickly, once he memorizes a choreography his ability to remember it for a long time is amazing.
Iwamoto Ah, I know! Everyone checks it with him ne.
Sanada This unit's weak part, I certainly know it. "No unity" (*laugh*)
Onodera Ah~, that's because I'm a free spirit so it can't be helped.
Nozawa It's summed up with "it can't be helped" (*laugh*)
Sanada When someone starts talking, everyone else starts chatting, you don't know where to cut off your conversation (*laugh*). Really, these free spirits gathered together~
Fukasawa And in this kind of free, bratty talk of ours, Nozawa, whose mental age is more like an adult's than everyone's, is gazing at us with a gentle smile (*laugh*)
Miyadate His mental age is 38 years old.
Nozawa Am I an old man (*laugh*)
Fukasawa And we're no older than 5 (*laugh*)
Sakuma But, doesn't Abe have that kind of adult-like feeling too?
Sanada That's right. Abe doesn't make any racket.
Watanabe With a talk like this, us, we're full of weak parts ne (*laugh*)
Onodera No, we have strong hearts that stand up again and don't lose courage even if we get angry (*laugh*)
Fukasawa Also, us, we're always fighting aren't we. When stuff like that repeats, doesn't it make our bond stronger?
Everyone That's true.
Abe In my case I don't get into fights, but there's been a lot of times when I make mistakes in the dance choreography or something and the members point them out (*laugh*)
Fukasawa Speaking of pointing out mistakes, I have a mistake for Sakuma! In the middle of dancing, you collided with me really hard!
Sakuma Iya! Ano···that···it might be like that (*laugh*)
Watanabe On that note, we sent out what we're like day-to-day!
Miyadate But in reality, it probably didn't reach anyone ne (*laugh*). But someday, if the day where we can show this side of us comes, it'd be nice ne.
Sanada Anyway, everyone, let's start by fixing our uchi benkei.
Iwamoto I know! Wouldn't it be good to put a dressing room set on stage (*laugh*)?
Watanabe That might be good! But we'd probably end up starting to say things we can't say on air (*laugh*)
Sanada Also, from a 5-year-old child··· let's at least become middle school students (*laugh*)
