How... amazing was that. How did I move from one hut to another when I was asleep? Seriously, has this desert got nothing to do?

That's kinda normal. If you don't move within a certain amount of time of the new huts being announced, the desert moves you on its own. Probably uses the same way it pulled us all in here to begin with.
