cool end to the week

my week has been crap...

but today, Just spoke to the Editor and Cheif for Alternative Press, and he really likes our new record, he didn't have much time to talk, but it is good to hear someone like him say we are doing a good job at what we do.

Somebody left two or so years' worth of AP in our breakroom @ work a while back, not exactly my scene, but I make a point of reading only whatever I can scare up in there, if only so as to read stuff I otherwise wouldn't. I was surprised to periodically come across peoiple I know, or at least see around from time to time. I'm guessing it gives surprisingly comprehensive coverage to its chosen scene(s? The articles seemed by and large on, I don't know,neopunk ["emo"?] bands, but the reviews ranged more broadly). I think I learned more about local bands there than I ever have in the Shepherd et al. ...

the Editor and Chiefs articles and reviews (Jason Pettigrew) are the only things I like about that magazine.
