So I started my new job as a TSS through Youth Advocate Programs. My first case is sort of weird. Instead of being assigned a child to work with through normal channels, I'm getting transfered in to work with a child, as his usual TSS is unable to continue due to health issues. And it's not like the kid is a problem...I just feel awkward picking up ( Read more... )

Even IF there is a bit of backsliding I am sure you'll make up for it in the long run... you have so much self-doubt, but I have great faith in you and your ability to help this child, even if you are picking up where someone else left off.

By the way... I love you and I miss you!

Theraputic Staff Support. Basically, I help implement Individualized Service Plans, with assistance of a BSC and a Mobile Therapist. Help keep the kid on track in class, that sort of thing. As for coming down and speaking with you, Diane, and the girls...that would be an awesome idea once the weather clears up a bit, and once i get my home hours situation cleared up.

Oh, if you'd like to have a perspective on children who have had multiple counselors/worker/caregivers and how not to oops at the outset feel free to come down and chat with the girls. They had three or four different workers in the year we had them as foster so they could be experts in helping you with what not to do.
