I have a rule about not reading WIPs and I don't know what, but something about your story made me break it and again I'm reminded why I made this rule in the first place... I want to read more of this now!!! :p

There are still omissions in his story, though, even for John. He doesn't, for example, tell John how quickly he grew to miss him, how he had still talked to him for weeks after as if he was in the same room; how he sometimes woke in the morning with the phantom sounds of someone making tea ringing in his ears. He also doesn't tell John that it took only a few months to realise that he was in love - for the first time in years, and how on earth had he missed the slide through fondness, affection, attraction, desire and into love? - and that it was hopeless. He sketches out his story in plain fact, and never once talks about how he felt, all those long months when he was alone and miserable and pining for home, for John.

Ohhhh, Sherlock. My heart hurts for him.

Oh no. Oh Sherlock. *sniffles* I was so excited to see you posting new fic that I broke my rule of never reading WIPs again, because it was you and it was bound to be too awesome to wait. And it was.

And yet now I wish I hadn't read because this is killing me! I want things to get better, I want the boyfriend gone - even though he seems nice - and I don't want to wait but want all the awesomeness now! *sighs*

So yeah. This is an intriguing start, and the angst is deliciously unbearable and please give us more! ♥
