I am SO glad this brilliant story has fallen back on my radar! My heart aches for Sherlock and part of me hopes he wins over John's heart. However, I like Marcus very much and don't want to see him hurt. Oh the emotional conflict you've created! I love it!!

While we all know what happened to Mary Morstan, if Marcus does die I truly hope John does not end up in a relationship with Sherlock. I actually hope you let Marcus live and have John be happy and safe and with Sherlock as his greatest friend.

I am loving this fiction so far because John is happy and while he deeply missed Sherlock he found love and happiness.

I find it so...weird that people think John should just abandon his entire life, what he has built all because "poor, widdle, Sherlock is sad."

I feel nothing for Sherlock. Except anger and fear. Anger that he (and most of the damn fandom!) expected John to just wait-for a man he thought dead. And how "horrible" it is that John finds a life and joy and safety and love. It's rather sickening and smacks of an abusive relationship...or thinking it romantic(how dare John make his own life and find joy and love! He's so cruel to leave Sherlock!!11!1! All the feels! John must apologize and beg Sherlock's forgiveness for not waiting!!11!1!11 John is so horrible and mean. Poor

I don't want to say too much because I don't want to give anything away, but I do want to say thank you for this comment. I love John/Sherlock as much as the next person, but that does not mean this John would just abandon everything to be with S. Especially as John in this fic doesn't have and has never had romantic feelings for Sherlock. They are friends at this stage and rebuilding their friendship is an ongoing process. Meanwhile, John is in love with Marcus and as for how that turns out... I'm saying nothing ;-)
